Well it has been stated before that Bedsy was a replacement for Ellis, which surprised a lot of us as Hooker was not exactly replacing positon for position.I think it will maybe be a 2nd row Ali type player or a top recognised centre

Adam Cuthbertson perhaps? I can't think of a top centre who is out of contract but maybe perhaps Manu Tuilagi who we were linked this week according to Frosties!

| Quote: Gotcha "What a complete and utter lier you are.
This is the point you debted the factual at, at what I said was factual.
'"
Seriously, what's wrong with you? Are you totally incapable of debating something without totally overreacting?
You post an opinion, it is nothing more, and then when challenged described your opinion as "stone cold factual".
Quote: Gotcha "What's money got to do with it? Hasn't this squad just done a remarkable achievement with squad unity and togetherness? acheived without Senior. His comments since he was released are not those of someone who embraces squad unity. '"
Quote: Gotcha "As for the squad unity argument, utter rubbish. '"
Quote: Gotcha "It's a million miles from utter rubbish mate, it's stone cold factual. '"
So you described your opinion as stone cold factual, something which you seem to have a habit of doing. And please stop calling me a lier when it's actually you who's made a c0ck up.

| Seems to me that Leeds are doing their best to 'look after' Senior whilst not having him bloack the development of Watkins/Hardaker. Maybe one of the reasons other clubs haven't signed him up is because of doubts regarding his return to fitness at 35? If so it may be simply a case of Senior getting a couple of games, showing he's up to it, and then moving on.

| Actually having re-read the YEP article, I think G1's take seems more correct. It reads more as though the 'offer' from Leeds is no more than something so Senior can't complain about his treatment. I suspect GH would be quite surprised if Senior is here next year.

| Am I alone in doubting that Keith Senior will actually accept this offer? A "pay as you play" offer could earn him bugger all. I also wondered whether he's been offered a non-playing position somewhere in the club? So we might pay him to do something else (ticket office?) and then pay him on a per game basis if he plays? Not sure that would work for salary cap regulations mind you. Could smack a little of the alleged Radlinski-gate scenario...
As for the whole "unity" debate, I think it's possible to over-estimate how long these people hold grudges for. I've had training ground spats that have blown over by the end of training, I'm sure 2006 incidents are forgotten. He may have some air to clear over the book stuff, but that doesn't mean he couldn't sort that. Do people think he's going to walk into the changing room's on the first day of pre-season and everyone's just going to ignore him and look sulky?

Am I alone in wondering whether it'll be the best one he receives?

Maybe. Would an ambitious championship club not be able to offer him more? Given that he might get less per game, but would probably play him more often?
Bit surprised Widnes haven't snapped him up yet TBH.

I think once he shows his injury has cleared up a lower end super league club will offer him a deal.

I was thinking Halifax.
He could extend his career a couple of years and earn possibly more money on a regular basis (though smaller amounts per game) than he would in occasional cameos for Leeds ... and it's just down the hill, he could go home for his dinner.

Cannot argue with that. I think he will take our offer till he gets a full deal from someone in SL, and to be honest should work ok for both parties IMO. Reading the GH interview and I think it show the club in a good light and treating it's players right

From what I know there is an expectation within the club that Senior will get a better offer and he will not be back in a playing capacity.
Rhinos have been looking for a quality replacement centre but haven't found one yet and I think that is seen now as less of a priority given the form of Hardaker and Watkins before his injury. I think they are still looking but I don't know for which positions and whether a quality centre is one of them, but as far as I know, there's no one currently lined up.
We all know that Gary H made a pledge to spend upto the salary cap and replace Buderus with someone of equal quality so we will watch this space!

| I think its a good move, and one that will probably see Keith play a couple of games, get match fit, then leave for the likes of Wakey or Cas.
Provides some 'quality' cover and experience to support the young lads
