Quote: rugbyleague88 "Absolutely awful performance!!! Sinfield yet again is awful, his defensive positioning is awful and every game he throws stupid passes, he isn't as bright as people think. Leeds did not look motivated whatsoever.'"

Presume you're not a Leeds fan?

Sinfield has been our best player this year by a distance. He was awful tonight but I'll let him have that one if he reproduces anything like what he has done so far for the 2nd half of the season.

I see a team that wants to play for leeds, i have no doubt about that, i know that some player changes need to be made come the end of the season, but Mc has no idea how to get the best out of the players, nor does he seem to be able to sort the teams structure out.

I don't know what Leeds fans were really expecting this season, you were never going to be competing with the big clubs like Warrington this year.

It's a long way back for the 'Rhinos' before you'll be troubling the silverware again because a long rebuilding process is ahead.

It's poor to lose to Saints by so many as they are a club in decline. We hammered them,no sweat.

Another great win for Wire tonight. Still at the summit looking down at the rest.

I admit wire look the real deal this year but how many years has that taken to achieve, and how long will it last.

Big club dont make me laugh u win two challenge cups and that makes you a big club u need to have a reality check pal come back when you have won a meannigful piece of silverware.

You will never win the superleague trophy 3 times in a row, as when smithy has dissappeared to Wigan next year that will be it for you, oh didnt you know he applied for the job looks like he will be successful too.

Ok, I'm gonna be controversial. I didn't think Leeds where that bad. Ok stop laughing, that first half, Leeds shut Saints down as did Saints to Leeds.

So this shows you have the players who can defend, but attacking wise Burrows and Maguire offered Leeds nowt. I can understand all the agro going to Sinfield, but he was the only attacking option for Leeds. He had to try something. Webb looked injured still and much slower than we are used to seeing, he offered nothing to the attacking line. Burrows and Maguire, well they just did zip when Leeds had good field position. You missed Seniors offensive capabilities. Defensively Leeds where ok. Saints had a blitz for 10 -15 minutes. But I thought we where not at our best either attacking wise. Defensively we were solid for 60 minutes and pretty untested by any organised Leeds attack.

In the end Saints will always run a blitz at some point we did against Wigan, you just have to be able to get some points yourself.

They maybe leeds favourites but I think your backline needs a shake up, the team can defend, but no team can defend for 80 mins, without some points being scored.

I dont mind that if it gets us into good field position and then we then look like we know how to use the ball. Sadly, we dont. We just rely on offloads to break teams down which is all very well and good against the other teams in SL. Against the top 4 though it has been shown up badly and all they do is wrap the ball carrier up. We were lucky to score tonight to be fair. Saints switched off big time and im going to go as far as saying we were worse than the week before.

And not that I want to single anyone out because you cant, but the ankle tap apart, Webb was woeful last night. I hope no Widnes were there last night because if thats what they have to look forward to I think they'd be a bit dissapointed.

You got to love the wire fans. How long and how many coaches did it take them to actually win a game against the stains ?

wirew*n*er............. you beat an injury ravaged saints side with inexperienced youngsters. well guess what mate, those youngsters are now battle hardened and the next time we meet, you may still well beat us, but it wont be a walk over, and you may even get a surprise and we come out of the game victorious.
you may be having a decent season so far, get a few injuries, that changes matey boy but come back in say 10 years when youve been consistently at the top winning every trophy on offer and then you can say wires are a decent team.
school starts back next week doesnt it!!
