I reckon if we signed either the entire Oz or Kiwi 4 Nations squad to represent us next season, there would still be some folks bitchin' about their age, or the fact that they weren't born down Kirkstall Road!

A hard hitting prop is what we need, and apparently, that is just what we have got.

If you can keep him fit he'll be a good signing. Problem is, he's not stayed fit for any period of time for a while.

Do you think you've signed him as there is a lack of quality second rowers available? I see that area as weaker than your props (imo of course) especially now that Eastwood has left.

Eastwood's best position for Brisbane, Canterbury and New Zealand was as an interchange prop. It was also (unsurprisingly) his best position at Leeds and equally unsurprisingly Leeds have gone for a prop to replace him.

I'm a tad confused by all this talk of injuries when according to the NRL website he played 23 games.
Now I haven't seen much of the NRL this season so can't really comment with much authority but judging by his stats he would appear a decent signing and as the top metre maker in Newcastle's forwards isn't he exactly the kind of player some people were saying we should sign?
