| I'm certain we've been cursed this season... any injury we've had has nearly always been a serious one.. I've never known owt like it. I'm so proud of the team for what they've gone through this season regardless of the result in a weeks and a bit's time. I know we were poor at Wembley but it can happen to anyone. Get back soon Danny and make up for this year's dissapointment. Best No 6 in SL. Come you Rhinos... Champions until the end !!!!

| I disagree with the idea of playing Webb at stand-off. This is a semi final we are talking about here - not the time to start experimenting with untried (or barely tried) half-back combos.
What is JJB's expected recovery? If he is back, I'd fully expect Sinfield to be at 6.

Don't be daft. Webb plays like a stand-off when he joins the attacking line already, and his passing skills are second to none in the Leeds team IMO (although sadly McGuire's passing was top notch against Wigan). I don't think it will be a big disruption to accommodate him there. The move also has the advantage in that we get to see Smith play in his arguably most effective position. Webb has also played there before for Leeds so it is hardly going to be experimenting with an untried option.
The alternative of playing Sinfield at stand-off means we will have to find room for an extra forward when we are already down to the bare bones, instead of utilising a proven match-winner in previous play-offs. I don't think Lee Smith has quite hit the form of previous seasons but I'd rather him play full-back than not play at all.

From past history Sinfield will be playing 6 with JJB returning into the pack.

As opposed to being blessed with a comparatively injury-free number of seasons prior to this one?
You'll be suggesting Leeds are unlucky next.

Hi kKeith,
Feeling contrite about this comment yet?

Then let Webb play in the role that he is accustomed to. I agree that Webb, like most modern fullbacks, often adopts a "third half-back" role so let's persist with that.
This is going to be a game that is going to require control and experience in the key positions. I'd be far more trusting of Sinfield to put in a solid pressure relieving kick than I would Webb.
The forward pack are already rotating, we may well have JJB back in the team - the disruption would be minimised by pulling Sinfield out of the back row.

OK, if you do not wish to retain any crumb of credibility whatsoever that is fine.
You're now categorized as the kind of poster who makes crass, false alleagtions about a player feigning injury then doesn't have the class to admit he was wrong.
Duly noted.

I can see that this makes sense. Webb may simply have to play a more pivotal role from fullback.

| All the best Danny - He has been fantastic this year...!!
Cruel way to end his season
The reason RFL Supporters are way better than Football is because we are like one big family, usually when an injury like this happens to a player the RFL community get behind him and wish him all the best. I'm sorry to say I was ashamed by the remarks from some utter scum these past few days (Namely Wigan 'fans')
You lost the game, which your clearly upset about but taking it out on a player of his class is NOT the answer!
