| Quote: tvoc "Also no clashes with Wakefield '68, Leigh '71, St Helens '72, Widnes '77 and St Helens '78.
That's the limit of my recollections of Leeds in CC Finals, I'd have to research earlier appearances.
Good question though. It's probably never happened before.
Does this mean Leeds get to choose the referee now?'"
The white change shirt was used for the 77 or 78 Semi Final Vs Featherstone at Odsal.
Was '57 the blue with the 'V' ?
It could well be the 1936 final, where Leeds played in a mainly amber shirt, with blue collar / cuffs ?

According to your ramblings on another thread, you don't care about the history of the club ....

That was 1978.
Leeds also played in the white kit in the 2nd round of the '78 comp at Belle Vue.
1977 was V St Helens at Central Park (7-2) in ankle deep mud where Leeds scored the most remarkable break out try, in the conditions, you're ever likely to see. From within the '25' as it were in those days Pitchford, Hague, Dyl and Atkinson on the scissors to the posts. Oh for a video of that and they definitely wore the traditional blue, amber and mud.

I haven't looked to this point. As a rule if I think I can find an answer within 5 or 10 minutes I'll usually try and do so. If I think it will take longer (or I'm unsure where to look or if I'm doubtful of finding out) I usually take the easy way out give it a wide berth.

| In my time i've travelled around the world, i've been up and down the country watching rugby league and I've even watched it in australia.
But never in my time have I witnessed anything as disgraceful as what occured during the game on saturday.
..........Ryan baileys tapping of the head of scott moore after he made a mistake. IMO this is completly unacceptable and should be outlawed from the game. Ignoring moores reaction and the resulting mele, it was the tapping of the head that was so unsavoury.
While watching on the tv while this occured I was very pleased that the squeeking rat, jonathon davies waxed lyrical about this heinous incident and completly ignores moors reaction. This is good because these are the real issues and we need to stamp out ugly incident from the game......such as tapping on the head.

No, I don't think so.
And I dare say you've been trolling all week but everytime I log on here there is some ridiculous thread you've started or post you've made. You're not the only one - Gareth has stopped debating rugby issues seriously and got involved in petty point scoring and Danny, well, he's just being Danny. It's fairly easy to see when some people are doing things purely for a reaction , the problem is it starts to derail the whole board and issues which could be discussed seriously, such as the excellent form of Buderus or Bailey's outstanding performance on Saturday just turn into personal battles.
Over the top rant over!
And before anyone else says it - chomp!

so you don't think it was a joke how davies went on about baileys tapping of the head yet moores unacceptable reaction was completly and utterly ignored?
If roles were reversed do you think davies would have been going on about baileys reaction and how he's stupid to lash out?
Do you think bailey get's an unfair crack from the media and possibly referees? Last week bailey ran into a tackle vigerously and was pulled. Nick fozzard has made a career from running into tackles with his elbows and knees raised. Does he ever get pulled?
Was davies over the top reaction to a nothing incident syptomatic of how the media and referees view bailey?

| I think you’ll find that marcel is a stable member of the southy stander community. Someone who posts plenty of topics to keep the mind active. Instead of demonising him and stigmatising him as a troll we should embrace his presence on these boards.
Our moderator certainly has. There’s other boards where you’d get banned for the kind of erratic behaviour that marcel has shown within the last couple of days.
marcel could turn out to be a blessing in duiguise thanks to McLaren_Field’s showing of faith in marcel by not banning him.
Lets show faith and love towards our new friend on the forums
