Hmm, possibly a short term loan maybe? More likley a scour of the available playing staff, although Chisholm could well be in for a call up.
I think it was mentioned on another thread how ironic it is that two players in Ashley Gibson and Jodie Broughton who left Leeds due to a lack of playing time etc would have been able to manfully fill the gaps that we currently have.
Meh, cest la vie.

I'd very suprised if we permanently signed someone, I would have thought a loan would be more likely. But as others have said, who is available?
Up until recently I would have suggested Toopi, but IIRC I think he's signed a contract with Gold Coast

Yes a loan would probably be the answer.. and i think it's needed to get our season kick started cos we're looking a bit threadbare in the backs.. it's a shame ainscough is at Cas as he'd have been ideal.

OK so we need someone who is a proven SL standard player, is currently not playing (in a first team) and who we could loan for a month or two to play on the wing...
.. So how about Lee Smith? He's available, has expressed interest in coming back to Leeds ([iallegedly[/i) and we know he'd do a pretty decent job on the wing.
Just a thought - would any of you guys take him back for a short stretch?

The only way i'd like to see Smithy back at leeds is if he was back full time.
I'd much rather give our youngsters a go to see how they handle the step up than give someone from another code a short term deal.

Also I highly doubt Wasps would be happy to let him go back to League on loan whilst trying to teach him Union.

| Eastwood made an interesting comment in tonight's YEP online"I think it might be a curse"[/i
There's no might about it. Retire the shirt now before it's too late.

Nah I wouldn`t touch Smithy with a barge pole now.
Probably put that much weight on he could cover for Esastwood.

| Cannot use injuries as an excuse. Had the club recruited properly at the end of last season we wouldn't be in this mess.
People need to stop blaming injuries for the poor displays and look at where the real problems lie.
