| It's a real shame that some fans can't take defeat on the chin. Leeds have dominated for a couple of seasons, and will be there or there abouts come the end of the year. But today they were simply outplayed in every department as some have admitted too.
There's nothing wrong with saying you lost to a better side, no trophies are handed out in February. But there does seem to be an arrogance from a couple of posters that Leeds should just turn up and beat X,Y or Z.
I'm happy my side finally won, and hopefully they will do in the future, but if we lose next time, i won't blame numerous external factors. I'll give Leeds the plaudits if they deserve it.
Good luck for the season

| Leeds will still be up there come October and I reckon be GF bound & possibly Challenge cup bound. But the arrogance is cringe worthy, that it does please other fans when you lose. Wakefield were fifth last season and had you all but beat at their place last year. This year they've gone one better. Very few rhino connected people saying Wakefield deserved it. (Now I didn't see the game but to win by 10 I'd say they probably did & weren't wakey 24-6 up at 1 point?). One very good thing for Leeds is there next opposition. Salford are the side I'd wanna play at home next game to possibly springboard the season, beat Melbourne then clean up & write "I told you so" on here in 7 months. *touches wood that i'm wrong though *

He didnt play well at all - he is fat, unfit and total gash, looks like he is on some sort of lard and lager diet. Tronc absolutely bossed them. 0 out of 3 for fatty.

I bet you when Eastwood leaves Leeds he will have more medals than tronc
0 out of 10 for your pi$$ poor trolling. must try harder

| Cannot be ar$ed going through all the bickering, but all I've got to say on the matter is that Wakey deserved the win, and it's nice to see the competition evening up (which is what will bring the overall standard up with it). 1-17 nowadays, teams like Cas and Wakey are very strong, and will take the game to all teams in the league. I still think we'll be up there because 1-17 we are very strong, and we also can draw on a deep squad which some teams will not be able to when injuries hit home. But overall although it's not nice to lose 2 out of the first 3 games, it is refreshing to see how unpredictable the league is at the moment.

| Where is the smiley for 'don't give a fook about yesterdays result because I know we'll still win SL this year'?
Yes. Wakefield deserved their win but are getting way over excited about it. Just like we used to when we beat wigan in the early 90s but ultimately failed in the main goal.

| I'm assuming Eastwood isn't match fit yet, but when he his, he will really do some damage to teams. We all know that Leeds will be up there at the season end, but if I were a Leeds fan, I would be alarmed that they only started to play when they were 20 down today.

He is clearly not at his best or full potential but he did have a good game yesterday.
I think you read too much in to being worried about Leeds only appearing to start to play when they were 20 down. Their frustration throughout the game was clear and when Sinfield was sent to the bin, in what appeared to be a harsh call (and one the players at least clearly felt was harsh) that frustration started to look more positive. In reality you were still playing a champion side and you don't become poor overnight, they knew they had no choice to play catch up football and that is what they did and this made it look like Leeds only just started to play. I think in saying so, you take much away from your teams performance who out-played them up till this point. Leeds are a very good side who had a poor game and they just tried to get the job done when the chips were down. If anything my view is the complete opposite of yours... I would have been worried had WE NOT played like that when 20 down!

| That was one of our best performances of the Super League era, if not the best. I thought we matched Leeds in every department, and whilst you may argue that you were poor, I also feel that the way we played restricted you guys and didn't allow you to perform. But Leeds had some players whose attitude just wasn't what you'd expect of a championship side. I'm sure you'll finish the season above us, but I can only judge you on yesterdays game, and going by that some of your players looked as though they felt they had a devine right to beat such a mediocre side like Wakefield.

I agree and disagree with you. I am not wishing to take anything away from Wakefield or what was a very good performance, both in attack and in defence and it could be one of your better performances in the SL era. Of course in term of Leeds it has to be considered the best, given you have never beaten us at Bell Vue before in the SL era (that is not a dig by the way, just a fact). However, we were indeed very poor and dropped ball and frustration with an inexperienced ref'ing display, leading to more poor discipline, was the issue, not some players thinking they had a divine right to beat Wakefield.
I think you maybe need to get rid of a bit of victim culture down at Belle Vue now, you still used the word mediocre in your post and don't think any Leeds fans have on this board (well, the sensible ones anyway) and I didn't, and you rightly pointed out that you were far from mediocre both yesterday and last season in general.
You finished 5th and won the Academy, it is maybe you guys who need to start and think like a championship side week in and week out, along with the fans. If some more did, then I think they might be a few less posts on our board about your performance and more on your own!

Spot on assessement. Too many are living on the fact they have a few rings, not realizing that every dog as his day. And for the life of me, anyone who has chuffing sideburns like that is showing a bad personality attitude, it can not be done because he likes them, it must be out of a "big here I am".

I don't want to sound arrogant, but that's the understatement of the year. It is a good given certainty that we will finish above you. And I have no doubt will still be holding the trophies come the end. But I pay to watch entertainment from a team, and see them peform to the best of their ability. That is something lacking in the last two games.

Has JJB sh@gged your wife or something? Your bile towards him is really quite pathetic.
How do you know whether he likes his mutton chops?
You do remember the 2007 beard don't you?

| Hey G1, I like the way you put spelling mistakes in your alias posts as Gotcha, using good rather than God was a really good one.
You are really good at this split alias stuff!
