| Don't like Mighty Boosh but love Noel Fielding as a comedian!
Of we're going onto quiz shows, Goldenballs is probably the best ever....isn't it?

| Quote: DHM "The Day Today was genius, but I couldn't watch Brass Eye. It was too much and only funny in a cringeworthy sort of way.
I never got Fawlty Towers. I have tried and tried to watch it but I find it tiresome and predictable. There are some great scenes, "what do expect to see from a Torquay hotel window madam..", but most of it was unwatchable and irritating.'"
It may be becuase you missed it when it was relatively new, and comedy has since been built upon classics such as that, and moved on upwards.
A lot of people did the same with League of Gentlemen, were a bit grossed out and left it alone. In the meantime, a show like Little Britain comes along, dumbs some of the grossness etc down a bit, and opens it up to a wider market, and suddenly its apparently the best thing ever, when in reality they'd done nothing that LoG hadn't done 5 years previously on BBC2.
If you'd not watched LoG in the early days, but had watched some of the stuff that it opened the way for, then you could be forgiven for not seeing what the fuss was all about.

| Quote: Andy Gilder "That's just because you don't have a system or understand the power of psychic projection.
Surely you mean noels "cosmic ordering"?
"Il have jean, box number 14"
"good luck love i ope its a blue"
box is opened to reveal the £250,000, cue gasps from the audience and jean gurning like a monkey on speed while noel stops counting his wage packet to vaguely feign passive upset.
"its allreet jean, its allreet, neva mind its allreet"
jean is now blubbing like a caged walrus, while keith pops out with the pearl of wisdom "its allreet theres plenty of cash still left oop there love come on"
"your reet keef, box number 5 keith please"
crowd begin chanting blue! blue! blue!
box is opened to reveal keith had the £100,000 box.
"Thanx alot keith you F**cking prized tw@"
Rinse and repeat.

| I live at the bottom of a valley with no line of site on the satelites and no access to cable therefore "don't get" anything that isn't on 1 - 4 or the iPlayer
I know that isn't the point of the thread, but I just fancied a Friday moan

Yup. Sort of funny, but more bizzare than anything. But then after you've seen a few episodes it's just the same re hasjed sketches again and again and again but in different situations.

Saw both Brass Eye and Day Today when they first went out. I was a fan of Chris Morris's stuff.
The Day Today gave us Partridge and FurQ.. hilarious.

| Several chords of reproductive mucus were expelled rythmically into the crowd.
Chris Morris should be knighted.
