10 games ago you were saying how brilliant he is.
Get real. One defeat to the Bulls and a few inept performances does not make a bad coach/team.
This time last year Saints had lost 5 out of 10 league games, and were not playing well. They then won every league game, won the CC and got to the GF, only to be beaten by a better side on the day. If you get to/win the GF this year I bet you won't be saying "Bluey out"

Start of last season we were awesome, everything clicked. But toward the end of the season we let it slip, to the point that many of us turning up at Old Trafford were more hopeful of being crowned champions than expectant. However Bluey coached an impeccable preformance from us that night and lifted the team over the preceding fortnight.
Last year we seem to have had a very consistent starting line up and this season we seem to have more people filling into positions. Perhaps that's why we're not gelling as a team.
I'm hoping Bluey's statements about getting the team to peak at the right time are true and that come October we will be crowned back to back to back champions.
I do think we need to improve our discipline on the field and the amount of questioning officials(other than from the captain) seems to have increased this year too.

This has to be the worst thread ever. Judge it at the end of the season at the very very earliest. We never won anything under Tony Smith for 2 and a half years after his first year of success.

Tony Smith has a reputation for running a tight ship re discipline. Bluey gives the impression he's more chummyy with the players than TS was. That's not a bad thing perhaps but maybe the squad aren't as concerned about behind the scenes rollickings re discipline than they were under Tony? Just a thought.....that said I wouldn't change Bailey's discipline in the league match against Saints |
