As our old sales Director used to say, "Honesty is never the best policy".
Admitedly he lied about who was sharing his company paid for condo and simply disappeared one day after being fired and threatened with jail if he opened his mouth, but as a general principle it still holds up IMO.

Technically that would also include our coach and GH, as we actually did sign Eastwood.
I don't know how much cash it costs to build a stand the size of the South Stand, but it has to make a players contract look like something you might find down the back of a sofa.
I have to agree with our human computer here.

I guess that working for a company that is listed on Wall Street and therefore bound by Sarbanes Oxley regulations, I'm just too honest.

We were being audited for Sarbanes Oxley at the time or nothing would have been done, thankfully the company I work for now is privately owned.

London born players should not be coveted by north of England teams, IMO and any that sign them do the sport a dis-service.
Clubb would make an excellent acquisition but one that I'd hate Leeds to make.'"
I'm with tvoc on that, and I think you could add McCarthy-Scarsbrook to that list too.
As for signing someone of the quality of Sam Moa - on last nights performance we don't need to be doing that.

I must admit I was shocked. I think he's ate Greg Eastwood.... trying to get him in through the back door.

We should be looking more for a Fi Ji, a Ton Ga, or even better an Oz Tralia.

I heard an interesting whisper over this weekend about a potential replacement for Eastwood ...
- Top class forward
- 'Available' (potentially)
- A Kolpak 'stiff'
- The available cap space in order to bring him in
- Dying to end his kick & clap hell at Toulon
Step forward SONNY BILL WILLIAMS ....

That was pretty awful!! It's Sunday though so I'll let it slide.
And about Sonny Bill. How much would he be after? A very lot is probably the answer!

I have a feeling he wouldn't fit in anyway. Good player but I seem to remember him missing a lot of rugby when he was in Aus. But I suppose he would go OK in a lesser comp like SL.
No thanks for me

I tend to measure Leeds against the best they can be. I'd like to see Leeds use whatever they have at their disposal to defend their titles this season. I don't even mind seeing them fail if I think they are giving us 100% of what they've got.
If they thought they needed to sign Greg Eastwood (and they appeared to think so when they signed him) what has changed since then to make a replacement not as necessary?
'"
Pretty bang on. With an eye in the future you can see all empires fall and I would rather we be over taken by better teams than give it away by handicapping ourselves by not using what we have. Quoting stadium plans does what? We still ahve a better ground than most in super league... and better gates.
Eastwood wasn't the clubs fault but surely if they could see we needed to add to the squad they should have had alternate options and contingencies. For them to say we don't need to add, after trying to add, is hypocritical. Fans that believe them are too easily lead.

GH never actually said that did he??
He has clearly stated IF the RIGHT player became available and on the best deal for the club we would add to the squad.
All he's said is that he and the coaches are happy with what we have got and that we won't make a signing for the sake of it.
After the key role GH has played in re-building our club from the brink of oblivion and the policy's in terms of squad building and recruitment why question his methods???
Should we really be offering big money for player's at this moment in time if the coach is happy to bide his time and wait for the right player??
Are we that desperate to sign more player's when we are top of the league without hitting top gear yet??
Also we don't know what's happening behind the scene's re-contract extstentions and posiible future recruitment so let's trust someone who has played a key role in putting us where we are and know's what it take's to keep us there.
