Quote: pmarrow "Ok so I guess you didn't get upset by Tomkins actions at Wembley.
'"
Tomkins didnt celebrate. I have no problem with him celebrating.
Quote: pmarrow "Its well known in sport YOU DO NOT taunt the opposing teams supporters as you always run the risk of causing trouble. The Leeds players who swore at the Hull fans are out of order and if you think that is how to celebrate then maybe you shouldn't be allowed out the house.'"
Its also a well known in sport that some people simply cant handle being part of the passion. A mixture of low intelligence and a few beers makes a certain set of people behave like absolute morons.
Once again, you are responsible for your own actions, "i didnt like the way he celebrated" or "but he swore at me miss" dont in any way, shape or form mitigate or justify that type of behaviour.

If you think anybody other than the people who behaved in that way are responsible for what happened then Im surprised you can put your pants on in the morning never mind use a computer.

Quote: pmarrow "If I was that sad enough I could bring up old threads and articles were Leeds fans have being involved in fighting at games.

Its not relevent to this subject at all, basically the Leeds fans have jumped the gun in blaming Hull fans. However once pointed out that Leeds fans were heavily involved and in some case the starter of trouble all you Leeds fans now are back tracking and coming up with as many incidents as possible to try and make us look real bad.

We have idiots as do you, accept the fact that your club is at fault for this mess and deal with it.'"

Your supporters caused the trouble and our club is partly to blame for not having a police pesence in the ground and stewards not up to the job. The Leeds officials should have heeded the warnings from our last sunday evening kick off when HKR fans went on the lash all day and caused bother under the noses of inept stewards. Don't try blaming Leeds fans or players for the bother though, because without your lot there is no bother.

Yeah because you're blameless! Why is it Bradford close the bars when you're in town? We turned away some of your fans at the turnstiles a bit back too as they were paralytic. Why do some of the citizens of Hull feel the need to be absolutely mullered to watch the game? It can't be that bad can it?

As a hull fc fan of 40 years, i too was disgusted when the bottle was thrown on the pitch. however the "fighting" was not what it seemed, it was actually a small group fo TRUE fc fans detaining the person guilty of throwing the bottle, until stewards, 3 female ones, could escort him from the ground.
his name has been given to the local paper, hull daily mail, and to the boards of both Hull fc and Leeds Rhinos in order that any necessary action can be taken. personally i hope he`s banned from ALL rugby league games for life

In theory that may happen.

In practice and with modern turnstiles that will be impossible to police.

But the clubs will make the announcements and we'll all feel better.

Just gunna add my two bobs worth fwiw, i've been visiting headingley with hull fc regularly since the mid 70's and its got to be one of my favourite away grounds, have had many good days out round leeds/ headingley area and before 2004 didnt even get wet as used to go in the south stand but still had good banter with leeds fans, on the downside i always know that for some reason there is always that chance of a bit of bother at hull/leeds games, unfortuately our moronic idiot element seems to swell for these games but lets not forget that 99% of hull/leeds and rugby league fans do get on well with each other. Btw well done to leeds on win, just wish we could have give you bit of a game!

Which could make compliance a little difficultSafety and/or Misconduct of Spectators

[i(a) Each Club is responsible for managing its Ground safely when it is open to the public
and is required to comply with its legal obligations in this regard and to carry out risk
assessments as appropriate, keep suitable records as appropriate and act in accordance
with good practice as set out in the Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds (Green Guide). In
addition each Club is required to use its Best Endeavours to take all precautions

spectators and all persons purporting to be supporters present at its Ground do not act
unlawfully and to prevent any of the above from threatening, abusing or assaulting
directors, officials, players, spectators, safety staff or any other person or damaging their
property or the ground or any property, or invading the pitch or pitch surrounds or
throwing missiles on the pitch or acting in a disorderly or improper manner before during or after the conclusion of Matches or otherwise behaving in an unruly or unlawful
manner or in a manner which, in the opinion of the Compliance Manager, is prejudicial to
the Game or amounts to improper conduct. Any Club which fails to discharge its
responsibility in this regard shall be guilty of misconduct.[/i

Agreed, but the fact is that if I were banned from every RL ground in the country today, you could go to the Leeds ticket office this afternoon and buy us two tickets and I could walk through the unmanned "automatic" turnstiles at Headingley at the next home game - the only hope that the home club would have of ejecting me is if any of the stewards had been informed that anyone who looks like Rick Stein should be thrown out of the ground forthwith, I wouldn't hold my breath on any of the stewards being able to spot me.

Unless we get total accountability of who sits where (note the word "sits"icon_wink.gif in each RL ground like they do mostly in football, then RL banning orders are PR guff and nonsense.

This is exactly what Hull have done with East Stand like I said when someone said Hull have done nothing about the idiots. It is now all reserved. "Chav Corner" is still there per se, but the Club also have the names and addresses of each seasons pass holder which can be identified by seat number (of course you have to be reliant that it is the right person sat in that seat icon_smile.gif ) Obviously this isn't going to work at every ground, like you point out it only works with an allocated seat - but Hull have taken the right course of action in trying to identify trouble makers in "Chav Corner" contary to what many people think on here.

How long will it be before we have finger print recognition turnsiles like they do in Disney World? Would they be necessary? Would they work? Could all clubs afford to put them in?

not saying our fans are blameless every club has a minority of idiots like your fans singing songs about trawlers sinking and expect not to get a reaction people in glass houses and all that
