I have had it a few times lad and quite recently due to arthritis, can be very painful and feels like someones got my foot in a vice. It comes and goes for me but I have to take that many painkillers I wouldn`t be able to tell you which one helps

You should be ok with ibuprofen but I`d see the doctor just incase, not gonna do you any harm.

I just cba with the doctors and queing in there! I'll take some ibupurofen and see how it goes. Brought on by my weight and being flat footed along with wearing the flattest pair of shoes i could find last week!

Agreed, and not only that, but I'm normally early for stuff too (because I hate being late) so I'd stupidly get to a 4.30 appointment at 4.15, and by the time you get seen you could've been sat there an hour. Should learn really and turn up at 4.29.

Also, until recently I haven't been to the doctors for probably 6 years, but my doctor used to be anonymous. When you went to reception they gave you a number, then they'd buzz the number up when it was your turn. Now they put your full name up on a big board for the whole waiting room to see? I hate that!!! I can't seem to place or justify why it bothers me so much but I really can't stand it! Won't be going again now.

Have you tried heel or arch supports? I use Srbothane "shockstoppers" that I get fro the runnung shop on the Lands Lane precinct.
They do look surprised when this fat, old guy (me) walks in there but it's the only place I've found that regularly stocks them.
Boots no doubt has their own brand to solve such problems.

Aye, used to use the prescribed ones and visits to the Podiatry Specialists. I gave up on them about 4years ago and not had a problem upto now. My feet didn't feel any different in them to normal shoes and my feet ached more in the supports than they did without. I couldn't on my feet without aches for any longer than 3hours a day.
