I bet they were. Do you think they weren't? '"
I bet they were as well. I bet they were last year too. But on both occasions they lost, which is why I take little notice of what is said off the field because it generally means very little.
I don't have the numbers either but I'd guess more than half of our squad of 25 were involved, hence the majority. Certainly the majority of our starting 17.
Very little pre season.
I agree. He's made the most of a bad situation and is doing his utmost to ensure we peak at the right time, again.
Quote: G1 " No. The coaching and medical staff were scaling back training and match preparation. I'd imagine the team give 100% every time they take the field, win lose or draw.'"
Ok, so despite having preperation and training scaled back they still beat teams that would have been going all out. This shows alot of character and grit to get through these games and those are things you need to win titles.
Quote: G1 "Eh? Are you confused? '"
No. Are you?
Leeds have been holding back for 3/4 of the season yet may still finish top.
Quote: G1 "I take notice of everything. I discern what I find useful. Ignoring a subject matter simply means you don't have the full picture, which is self evident from your posts. '"
I haven't spoken to players and coaches in person, I gather you have. I wouldn't ignore that information either. But what I will ignore is what is said in the press because it is useless.
Quote: G1 "I'd imagine it will be how the team plays on the day rather than some qualities they showed 7 months ago but whatever'"
How you perform on the day is a culmination of the season. You gradually improve and build towards it. Leeds have shown the have the character to battle through close tight games (what playoffs and grand finals generally are) and now they are starting to display their attacking ability.
Quote: G1 "We were analysing Leeds performances. It helps to focus on Leeds to so do.'"
When analysing a performance you need to take account of the opposition.
