I didn't see the game, but by the sounds of things too many players are having a natter at Ganson. Sinfield can, as he is captain, but the number of times I heard that Webb, Diskin, Ablett etc. were giving their two-penneth worth is unnerving. Bluey has to get the message out to get on with the game, although the interview afterwards doesn't fill me with confidence. We are becoming moaners and have been for a while.

And Wakey are the Ronaldo's/Gerrard's of Rugby League - throwing themselves to the deck at every opportunity trying to get decisions in their favour.

Lawrence, don't take this the wrong way, but I'm more inclined to trust someone's judgement who is out there on the field and QUALIFIED to do a job than someone who is 100metres away from the action and can barely see over the three year old infront of him!

Just watched the video and the calls certainly were not even handed. Ganson was definitely harsher on Leeds. One point in particualr stands out. Ablett pinged for blocking while Peterson flattens Webb and it's let go. another incident where Ganson calls "FOUR" then instantly blows for a penalty for laying on.

Sinfield and McClennan do right to be miffed.

The players have a right to ask for clarification of a decision (and in Steve Ganson's case, asking for clarification should be mandatory). After all, they can't learn if they don't understand why what they are / aren't doing is wrong.

The difference of course is where talking to the referee becomes "abusing" the referee.

I had the luxury of watching the game this morning after seeing the score and reading comments on here too.

Personally didn't think we were that harshly treated. Most of the pens were stupid and should be cut out. There were a couple of cases where similar infringements were not punished but I wouldn't say there was a massive gap.

I would have no problem with that, actually we only conceded 6 penalties (non initially for backchat) in the first 70 minutes of the game - pretty good - especially when you consider Drew threw himself on the floor - that would really only be 5. Most problems we had were handling mistakes and poor kick defence. But Wakefield only conceding one penalty in the same time beggers belief.

Smith and Jones-Buchanan going at it near the end was fun. JJB was borderline about to lose it there.
