| My recollection is that Dazzy is correct.
That said, GH also heralded Jamie Peacock as a direct replacement for Chris McKenna in the second row.
What he says and what he means may not always ne the same thing.
With Eastwood he may have been seeking to show him as an Ellis replacement - a back rower who could play centre and had played s/o.

After his signing was announced last year he featured in one of the Broncos games on Setanta. The commentators there were saying he'd been earmarked by Brisbane as TC's natural successor at "lock", which would fit in with his build and ball handling ability, in my opinion. Maybe he wouldn't make an "English" loose-forward, but the Aussies tend to play their 13's slightly differently.

That according to some on here (not that I'm pointing the finger at you, you understand) if player X signs for Club A, he's a great signing and it's a disgrace we didn't get him. This applies even when said player turns out to be a right pudding.
One example I can think of is some people pointing at Hull when they signed Sam Moa just after the Crocker deal fell through, asking how they could get him but we couldn't, despite not getting Eastwood. The brains of that deal were, in my opinion, shown up last Tuesday.

| Got you LP.
I am not saying he would be a good signing.
More of the should we have signed him.
Personally I like Kylie in the team.
Maybe now his contract has been secured he will start to show what he did for us last year.
This years form has not been great let`s face it.
No doubt Hall would cost us much more than Kylie anyway

Agreed, which was my point. We should be signing someone more like eastwood than a prop. apologies if i didn't make that clear..

When I heard the signing of Sam Moa, I immediately thought of kolpak stiff and Barter Card reject.
Didn't seem far form that the other day

Seeing him on the pitch, I was just amazed they had actually signed a country

| kylie seems to be a player who needs to keep his fitness up and,due to the world cup, he never had a pre season.some people can cope with this, kylie seems the type not to.
i think as the season goes on he will get better and play more game time.
i was a bit surprised at the length of the deal but who am i,a mere fan, to argue with our leader

In two out of three cases that direction finds them in the semi finals of the Challenge Cup rather than defeated at home in their second target match of the season that they failed to show up for.
Quote: G1 "What's funniest is that he is Tongan (according to Eddie).
Sam Moa is a Tongan, he played for them in last year's World Cup.
I admired Hull's ambition by going back into the market when missing out on Crocker (who will play State Of Origin in the morning after two games back) and make a signing, although it was Epalahame Lauaki rather than Sam Moa I was complimentary over.

They wouldn't be had they faced Saints at any stage of the competition, even with 2 more signings Leeds could still have lost that or any other one off game

Gateshead also got further than us in the cup, way below your usual standards TVOC.

It's a fair cop although Wigan at least have a tick in the win column V St Helens this season. The fact remains that in the two specifically targetted games so far this season (WCC and the CC 4th Rd) Leeds have gone down to defeat.

That's assuming they ever actually see Lauaki and his recent accident wasn't an aborted suicide bid at the prospect of playing alongside Thorman.
