Difference between deferred and cut. Deferred would mean they’d get their money later on, which would then mean an increase in wage when back to full which would mean a cap break.

The pay cuts are due for this season and apparently could be next season too. 100k player if at 20% cut would be classed as 80k player on the cap.

If that's the case you'd feel pretty aggrieved if your wage had been cut and then the club used some of the money from your cut wages to sign someone else.

Agreed I think front rower especially as Cuthbertson is not likely to be here next season also I think a good quality first choice winger is crucial. Money will obviously tight and I think we have to be realistic about filling the cap but we will Have a number of players off contract some will not be offered new deals so hopefully there will be room for a good back rower as realistically we need to assume Ward is not likely to be fit to play a full quota of games, hopefully he will manage some. Also a good utility of SL standard would be good. I think we are covered in the halves and at dummy half. Anything else would be a bonus but I do believe we have the spine of a good team but might require two seasons to be top notch but you never know.
