Attack and defence then. Did Gardner handle the kicks well?

I should point out here as seem as you have got all defensive, that I did not think Donald had a bad game, far from it. But his dealings with those two kicks and especially the try conceeded were poor. Of the three tries conceeded from high kicks that Leeds one should have been the easiest to defend from the position it came down.

Personally, I think that Donald's was the hardest to Defend but if the kick is executed well the defending winger always has the hardest job to do.

Donald's was put in the end zone (as you're getting into NFL lingo, I'll indulge) and behind him, with the attackers running onto it.

The kicks to gardener were also tough to deal with but they were in the field of play and in front of Gardener.

I am sure that there are many who had doubted him before Saturday now doffing their cap to him. We needed someone to step up to the plate and TMFMISL stepped up and was there to be counted.

The biggest problem why that try was scored is that Donald did not jump. Had he jumped it would not have even been a problem. Had he jumped he could have just caught the ball, which would have simply been a 20 restart. But what he should have done is jump, just like gardner did, and push the ball out with his hands. He was a yard from the dead ball line, it was an easy position to do that. But he was outjumped by Gardner, who actually didn't just push at a ball, but actually managed to flick the ball backwards when it was heading for the standing of the carnegie stand.

He couldn't jump. gardener was on his back. He should have jumped sooner I agree but that is the advantage gardener has with running onto the ball, unlike Donald. Just a good kick and a well executed play. Credit to Gardener and Flannery.

No, no - tries conceded by Leeds are never the result of good play by the opposition, they are always as a result of some inadequate defence by a Leeds scapegoat.

This week it seems to be Donald, no doubt next week it will be back to being Senior again at least until Diskin returns.
