6.45am this morning kiddo. True it is all bus lanes on the way down, not that alot of the numpties in cars realised this fact this morning 
Seems to have settled down this end of LS12 this afty roads are clear but the paths are weally bad. |

It's ridiculous. Theres been a gas leak in the main building today so all residents have been moved into Trinity Close or Leeds Uni accomodation until further notice.

A couple of inches of snow and the country grinds to a halt . One of our car salesmen couldnt get to Leeds from Halifax today or yesterday , but a customer drove from Kettering to collect a car he bought from us .
I have tried three different vehicles to get in to / out of work , all successful . An old Citroen AX , a RangeRover V8, and a TDi Discovery that is heavily modified for offroad use (high-lift susp..16" INSA TURBO tyres etc ) .
By far the most enjoyable way to get home from work in the snow is walking down the centre of a 1.5 mile , freshly cleared , dual carriageway stretch of the A6110 . The road had been closed due to an accident (of which I saw no evidence). I walked down the white lines . Only danger I encountered was a snow plough wagon . Sneaked up on me from behind . He missed . A few minutes later he came back up for another go . Missed again unfortunately
I did spend rather a lot of my journey looking over my shoulder . It was quite surreal to be wandering down the centre of one of the busiest stretches of road in Leeds when it was totally deserted and everything around was covered in about 8" of snow . |
