Leeds is a massive city club with huge income streams that most clubs could only dream of.

In all fairness the Rhinos away support is pretty poor these days considering the size of our fanbase. 'Smaller' clubs should be applauded for trying to build their support as it isn't as easy for most in comparison to Leeds'.

Huddersfield really aren't significant enough to warrant my attention if I'm honest. I didn't get carried away just because they beat us at Headingley for the first time in 50+ years.

I think the Leeds attendance figures will largely follow the on field performance this year together with the quality and strength of the squad assembled for next - feeding through to future season ticket sales.

Sadly given the general direction on-field and the apparent silence off it, I don't see the decline being reversed any time soon - new South Stand on the horizon or not.

That being the case why did we not see record attendances last year when you, and most other posters, proclaimed teh 2010 playing squad as the greatest ever before a ball was kicked?

Perhaps you're confusing me (and these other posters) with Gary Hetherington or Harry Jepson. Sounds more like something they might say.

My take was that with the addition of Delaney and Eastwood to the current Champion squad (despite the departure of Smith to Union) made it their best since the breakthrough season of 2004.
