I agree he's a brilliant footballer but if his heart isn't in it his performances will suffer, think the club should look elsewhere after all Rohan said he wants players to play for the name on the front of the shirt not the back!

| Would have thought the odds on Sutton coming back to England lengthened when the Bulldogs let Thompson go. No idea how lively the Aussie market for props is but letting two go would surely be a risk for them.

| Quote KaeruJim="KaeruJim"We will likely have no quota spots left until next year so who?
There are only the couple of English NRL based players but they will stay there if they have a contract there.
Over here there isn’t anyone I’d lust after who would give us something more than we have - except maybe Eseh who I keep banging on about but would seem an ideal project for Leeds - assuming he hasn’t already signed with Saints as reported.'"
For me one of Eseh, Doro who played well for the Bulls this year and Hill at Wigan would all be decent
signings at prop albeit not the finished article. But when you consider what the likes of Wigan, Saints and Wire have got in their pack we are nowhere near.

I've heard Eseh to Hull FC.

| Yes so again when we’re talking about a senior prop, I’m not sure there are any non quota players available.
I’d go for Eseh and Harvey Smith and then close the book on recruitment (assuming we do land Croft in the end).
Next year we’ll have to make a call on Martin and one or two others because we may need to strengthen in other positions.

Completely agree . Despite our current positive signings, I’m not sure our squad is actually much stronger than beginning of this year!
Need a quality/ experience prop desperately to replace Tet imho….

Pack is not even as strong as beginning of this year!

It was tongue in cheek. Still hoping for Brodie plus a solid prop or maybe experienced hoover.

You'd get more power from a Dyson I think, albeit more expensive

| I don’t think it is as simple as, is the squad better. The actual questions we should be asking are, is the squad balanced, do the players fit with whatever style you want to play and will the players play the majority of games.
Tetevano consistently missed games with suspension and injury.
Sezer consistently missed games with injury.
Austin consistently missed games with injury.
Fusi consistently missed games with injury
Newman consistently missed games with injury
Bentley consistently missed games with suspension
Doesn’t matter who you are, if you take out your half backs, one edge, a starting prop and a starting back row then you will find it more difficult. Simple reality is we need to keep our players, in particular our half backs and our spine fit and on the field.
The only player who is leaving who i am disappointed about is Walters. Everybody else I am fairly pleased to see the back of, on that basis I am much happier with the squad.
If we are playing fantasy land then I would love an international standard starting prop and a big powerful destructive back row and a top quality 9. However, it is salary cap and we have (if we sign Croft) signed a new 1,6 and 7 along with a quality centre in a single off season.

| A few Salford fans making noises that we’re pushing for a double sweep of Croft and Ackers.
