Trueman has gone really well for Cas since his elevation. I'm going to bet that McLelland will make the cut, because from what I've seen he has a strong all-round game. Some kids come through and they just can't tackle, or have no pace, or whatever. Callum is strong in lots of areas, and as he physically matures and gains experience, should get better still.

I do think McLelland offers things which the current first team are missing. If he is fit then the Workington game could be a good chance to look at him yes. We have cover in the 19s too.

You're also right that we need to be careful not to overload the CC team with youngsters and disrespect Workington, it's a losable fixture.

McLelland has been selected in the 19-man squad for Fev's game at Toulouse on Saturday. Whether he plays or not we'll have to see, we have Ben Reynolds on loan at the moment but we started Jorge Richardson, who is one of our newly-formed reserve squad, in the Cup against Swinton last week, so with Watson Boas injured you'd think McLelland will play.

Good to see him rising through the ranks and taking the next step following Furner's comments.

As much as I love to see kids given a chance I think Myler and Sutty need as much time together as possible at the moment.

Personally think Myler and Lolohea need it for next week. Sutcliffe still isn’t an half, whether the team looked better without Lolohea or not. Got to give it another go.

I know you have a huge downer on Sutcliffe but Lolohea shouldn't be anywhere near a SL side

He's playing a championship side next week, not a super league. It isn't about Sutcliffe as a player. The point is, yes you can say Lolohea isn't going to be the future, but neither is Sutcliffe. But one of them is for only one position, so we have to have a look to make the decision.

He is still playing in a SL side - we are in survival mode and immediate planning should not extend beyond this season and how we are going to avoid relegation. To do that you need your best line up and for me Lolohea isn't part of that.

I have to agree Sal. At this moment in time the best half back pairing we have is Myler and Sutcliffe for me, far from ideal I agree, but this season is now about surviving.

I know its Workington next week and an opportunity to rest or give opportunities to but the half back pairing need to play to get more understanding.

Lolohea cannot play as a front line defender it's an open invitation. The lad does possess some skill but his weaknesses are too visable to everyone.
