The NRL salary cap is now $9,800,000 with a MINIMUM WAGE of $110,000.

Burgess was forced to retire after the discovery of a shoulder injury earlier this year. He was contracted at the Rabbitohs until 2023.

If his shoulder's repairable, why wouldn't he take advantage of the top medical care, physio and rehab available, for free, through his club?

It's a pity but I doubt he'll be seen in a Leeds shirt, nor in anyone else's.

If we sign an outside back he should be better than what we have. So if it’s a centre move Newman to the wing or if it’s a winger it’s to replace Briscoe or Handley otherwise what’s the point.
