swap the ref for a decent one and we still win, forget the front row
we deserved to win

| Utterly bizarre decisions there. The clear double movement. The “he’s released the ball” bo!!ocks. Then the ignored knock on.
After the Wigan game this is taking the p!ss.

| Encouraging, not sure we got the rub of the green from Hicks there.

| So frustrating, and Hicks was awful, but our goal line defence wasn't good enough, and we can't go the full season having Tui and Sutcliffe defending the same flank. It's an easy target for the opposition.

| We've improves miles from week 1 agaisnt Warrington and was unlucky not to get a win tonight, Robert Hicks is an abosulte JOKE!!! the decisions he gave against us tonight in crucial periods was diabolical RFL and Super League officials are a farce. Merrin for me is so soft in defence and when carrying the ball and has yet to show why he is one of our Marquee signings( hope he changes my opinion of him as season goes on) Lolohea had some good moments in attack with good passes and link up play but needs to work big time on his defence the amount of time he backs off and sticks a limp arm out to tackle men twice his size is ridiculous also jumps in at wrong man in defence as well too many times, Hurrell looks Class though was our main threat all night and if we give him early ball 10-15 metres out he'll score bags full for us this year. Overall we competed with a full strength saint's side tonight and if a few more decisions went our way who knows we could have come away with the spoils. Good to see us improving each week though and I fancy us to do a good job on wakey back at home next week.

| Still a huge prop or 2 short but wow that reffing is up there with the worst ive ever seen.
Its way above incompetence & borderline cheating imo.

| Knock on for Lolohea releasing the ball for the video ref decision smacked of a ref trying to just be a smart d!ck. Hope he's consistent with that all season now...

| When unsure the benefit of the doubt must go to the team from St Helens. That's twice in four games we've suffered from incredibly lopsided refereeing.
I'm not suggesting that Hicks was deliberately favouring Saints, but there can't be many more calls he would have made for them if he was.

| Bad reffing without a doubt ,but as others have said we badly need another metre making prop that can hit hard.

only thing he seems able to do consistently is send our decisions up as NO TRY and theirs as TRY

| Our defence that second half was emarassing, hicks was even worse. Absolutly furious. Furner seems to be holding back a lot of anger in his interview!

I stopped reading when you started slagging Merrin. He’s quality.
That was one of the best attacking performance I’ve seen from us for some time. The movement off the ball is on a different level to anything I’ve seen from us for some time.
Dwyer was fantastic. If Parcell was available tonight we’d have won. They’re both quality.
Our main problem is ruck control and hard yards. We rarely get a 3rd man into the tackle to slow their play the ball down, and we need a big metre making prop.

| Putting the crap ref aside. Smith looks better than Sutcliffe at everything. Better second row, better loose, better stand off. WTF is Furner doing with these two players.

| Fair result. Was close and with some luck could have pipped it. Would actually like to see us with a fit JJB (to replace Ward who I hope is ok but if not must be facing the possibility of retirement, no team can afford someone injured so often) and another big prop that can get us moving forwards. We will need another back rower next season but still good to see us compete and showing the best attacking threat for a long while.
