Perhaps it's more in reference to his previous standards, really need him to look like the player he was 3/4 years. Chris Hill is another in the forwards that needs to rediscover his form, lucky to be starting after the season he's had

In one of the worst teams in the NRL in 2017 - not sure what that says?

| Walmsley out with a virus, Currie added to the bench. Disappointing, Walmsley was one player I was looking forward to seeing how he did at this level.

| Two selections/positions coming in for most criticism are Lomax and Bateman at FB and LC respectively. If Walker and Sutcliffe have good seasons in 2018 they could be in the running for internationals next year. Too early in Walker's career and too early in Sutcliffe's move to centre to have been considered now but 12 months time they could be in given the lack of quality options in their positions.

| Lomax was really poor, he's simply too slow at this level. Ratchford isn't world class, but he at least offers some zip in attack. Moving Widdop to full back is also an option, but Widdop was excellent at 6 to be fair. I also think Roby should do 80 minutes

| Yeah I'd go for Ratchford over Lomax although even he probably won't be cut out for this level. Lomax has been struggling with a hamstring since the back end of the Super 8's and had been moved to the halves to accomodate Barba so not really a good idea to pick him. Actually wouldn't have minded seeing Shaul given a shot, possibly end the same with people saying he's not good enough for this level but would've like to have seen him over Lomax.
Today's game also just highlights even more how frustrating Hardaker's stupidity is.
With him looking towards a ban, Tomkins nowhere near the player he was, Lomax not going to be playing FB for Saints then as I mentioned above Walker could be sniffing at the door of internationals next year.

| We were really poor at times in that first half. silly errors, poor kicking game meant Australia had so much field position. That said the defensive structure stood up and the second period we were pretty good at times, and dare i say it even the better team the final score flattered them.
I think the Aussies will sharpen up on attack and get better but we look like the team who has the most scope for improvement over the next few weeks. I wouldn't fiddle with the team too much, probably bring Percival into centre and start with Roby with Hodgson to the bench but if we can build on that we have a real chance of making the final and who knows, maybe push the Aussies if we get there.

Widdop at full back? Williams at Stand Off, Percival in the centres...

| I think that William's and percival will have the opportunity to get a place in the starting team for the quarters and semis along with walmsley coming in that could be a team more capable of causing some problems.
We've played better and been beaten more comprehensively than that so there's hope I guess a c with Hall n mcgilvrey we have players to finish opportunities

| Pretty much same lineup again for the Lebanon game. Just Burgess dropping out through injury so Currie moves to starting 2nd row and Walmsley on the bench.

| I think at this stage, devolving partnerships and structures, continuity is probably the best thing.
