My colleague and close friend has recently run the Marathon De Sables (6 marathons in 6 days in the Sahara dessert) for an incurable childrens cancer. He and Kev know eachother well and are cut from the same stuff, both inspiring individuals.

It’s more than the total raised, although of course that’s important. There is something about the momentum into the dark cold winter days, and the problems many have encountered with COVID etc - and many of us will face more challenges ahead. It may well be an incredibly tough time for many.

For me what the Sinfield events have done is remind me about mateship and compassion for others when chips are down, and I think that is his greatest gift with these runs.

Looks like they are over £1m now with the gift aid, what an utterly inspiring man Sir Kev is , raised massive amounts of cash & awareness for MND, undoubtedly helping in the decision to increase the funding.

Incredible. No wonder we were so successful under Kev's leadership. The man is an inspiration and a truly great great guy.

For me it's the courage of Rob and then Kev just wanting to do whatever he can to help his mate. Awesome.

Time to treat research into this disease to some serious funding.

We managed to cheer him on in Hucknall. He was suffering at 4:30pm. How he continued through the night is beyond me. Was great to meet other local Leicester and Rhinos fans and others. Might have to set up a local supporters club. So pleased he completed it. My thoughts with Rob and his family though. Hope this effort and govt funding will help future families.

A truly magnifcent achievement from one of the most inspirational leaders the game has ever seen. A guy who never needed to shout or betate people to engage with them.
His presence and ice cold determination combined with an ability to inspire his colleagues and those around him to achieve their goals is unmatched.
Amazing effort for Rob and the MND community and at a difficult period for rugby league also a timely reminder of everything that is great about the rugby league community and the grass routes of our game when people come together.
Respect as well to Leicester and the bbc who really backed and gave outstanding support to Kev and his team.
