There wasn't one bit of trouble, the beer was flowing and the sun was shining, it was a fantastic day for all that was involved. Nobody's upset that you were enjoying yourself in France or watching the game. Some people might think that chanting "get your t!ts out for the lads" at passing women isn't alright though. I'm one of them. OP suggests that some people were upset. Locals probably weren't, unless their colloquial English was pretty good.

Attempt to twist that into people being upset abut "you having fun" if you want, but it isn't what's happening. The one isn't an inevitable consequence of the other. I spent most of my 20s pi55ed without doing that.

Its to be expected I suppose, I think we've all been embarassed by drunkards travelling to France with similar definitions of "banter" to yours, I suppose we just have to accept that you think its funny because you've drunk so much that your normal standards of decency are flung out of the window and you become a sexist yob.

We were in the corner outside in the bar for an hour or so whilst the Leeds fans in the other corner did their bit. It was notable that several patrons left as they got rowdier.

One person's "good time" can be another person's harrowing experience when it involves innocently walking along the street and being drunkenly howled at in a foreign language. It was really all quite embarrassing.

now then.....I was one of the 28.......I am female and have to confess to being drunk.....shock horror.....mind I did not sing get yer tits out to anyone male or female........to be honest we were all very very happy drunk......and maybe would have been a bit annoying to sober folk but weren't any trouble....most folk seemed to be smiling at us......I even did some comedy falling over to entertain the locals......

we sang all game long too.....we were epic.....ha......and it must be true coz Sir Kev came and thanked us for being so loud and loyal before he climbed aboard the team coach taking them back to the airport.....
