I think you'll find the salary cap has never applied to Wigan so don't think that was ever an issue with regards to Hock's potential return.

Any settlement of Gleeson's contract will count under the cap, if they have room left ... they have room left. I imagine Leeds have a fair bit despite any noises that may come out of Headingley from time to time to the contrary.

Wouldn't expect to see him crop up anywhere else this season to be honest.

Whatever his reasons, it's a shame. On his day he was probably the best centre in the competition when he was at Saints and a genuine certainty for GB/England.
