I did tell 'The Sleeve', when he asked about food outlets for the new stand, that he should seriously consider an offer that sold cake! My only worry is that he gets sucked into to going with the current 'cake' trend and opens a cup-cake franchise!

As for the less serious stuff of cake, leave the South Stand update with me a couple of days (heading to the smoke on the train at the moment) and I will see what the word is on the construction grapevine!

However, the new surf-world (incorporating cake-island) will take up the whole of the car park and allotments over the bridge!

When is it supposed to be completed by? I have seen the artist drawings in one of the programmes this season, but not sure how accurate they were as it appeared headingley and North Leeds was all lovely forest.

Its not going to be done now, instead it will be preserved behind a display case along with all who are still in there just after the final whistle of the last game of this season (which will be the last home league game, there will be no play offs this year), its phase one of the fabled "Hetheringtons Rugby Museum" and will require those who are trapped inside the glass case to eventually be pickled in aspic and have labels attached to them for future generations reference.
