I think the utility back needs to be able to play winger, full back and possibly centre rather than full back, centre and half back.

The NRL Transfer merry go round has hardly got warm yet still plenty of time to get a quality forward in.

Jai Field is the outside back though if he hasn’t dual citizenship then he would have had to have played a certain amount of NRL games or pay him in excess of £100k to get a visa.Anyone expecting a big marquee signing at this stage of the year needs a reality check

Wouldn’t Jai Field be a waste of money and a quota spot? Isn’t he a full back or half back? If so what’s the point in spending big money and taking up a quota spot on a bloke that will be 2nd choice full back and back up half back when we already have Myler, McLelland and Sutcliffe to provide cover there

Surely your quota players have to be 1st choice 17 every week, not back up utility cover

It always depends on how ambitious you are.......... does Sutcliffe really provide quality cover in the half's? Unfortunately he is one of those players who is average in most positions but master of none! If someone can provide excitement and real speed on the edges and is young with a point to prove then maybe its a risk worth taking. Pace is essential around the edges and the Rhinos are lacking for sure! Give him a short term contract with a possible long term extension if he makes the grade!
