| Quote: TDR "well, I know sense is regarded with disdain on this forum, but I saw no more from Buderus tonight than in previous games other than the steady forward progression in his gradual integration into the team.
He made a very similar break in the game versus Salford - except it didn't lead to a try.
He clearly has bags of talent, but he hadn't played for nigh on a year etc etc , it gets boring really, but seriously, from past it, overpriced waste-of-a-quota-space to best player on the field?
get a grip folks.'"
His distribution tonight was excellent, his organisation of both the attacking and defensive lines was inspired and his attacking line infiltration was inspired. The player we saw tonight looked very similar to the player that left the NRL last year.
Tonight he WAS the ‘best player on the field’ and has dispelled any reservations that I may have had about his signing.

If you knew nothing about Burderus and then watched that game tonight any sane person would suggest he looked solid, not world class LOL'"
Your opinion is irrelevant because you are the founder member of the Stupid Club. You can post what you like but it means very little.

well, i guess that's something.
personally i had no doubts and was reserving judgement until he'd had a fair run in the team.
yet neither am i going to get carried away because he did well in what was far and away the best team performance he's contributed to.

Well I may be getting a little over exuberant about his performance tonight as I had some reservations about his necessity within the squad which have been more than dismissed tonight.

| Your rather trolling or know nothing about the game.
Buderus was brilliant tonight. He was constantly organising both in attack and defence. His distribution was spot on, exploting the weak points in the Giants defence. He also showed what he could do with ball in hand with some nice runs from dummy half. Also put some crunching tackles in.
best hookers display this season for Leeds

| He made a good break and looked a lot more lively tonight but its a kneejerk to wop it out over him based on one improved showing.
I think Leeds would be best served giving him a more important role now he's getting back to fitness. I know you all like Diskin, but his influence in attack is very limited and he really doesn't offer anything different when spelled with Buderus. As Buderus is neither an explosive player like Cunningham or a dynamic runner like Roby, for whom gametime has to be limited to maximise impact, I don't see why you need to spell him at all. He's fit enough to do 80 at a high level.

All those proclaiming Buderus fantastic tonight make me laugh.
You are probably basing your assessment on his break because that is what he can do
He looked lively and he's getting there, but fantastic?
You are too easily pleased.

Actually my MOM award to him was based on his distribution and organisation is attack and defence.

| Without getting too over excited like some here, Buderus had a good game...to be fair to the commentary team, one of Buderus great strength's is his passing game which Stevo i think alluded to.
Just watch back and see how many times the ball was "on the money"..no players having to reach high, stoop low, stop to take the pass...he is an absolutely fantastic passer of the ball. This along with his defense are 2 of his greatest strengths.
I would venture to say that there are not many players (never mind hookers), who can distribute the ball so consistently...it is a fantastic very underrated skill.
Once other players get a feel for his style and his marshalling of the ruck, he will get better and better and our forwards and backs will reap the benefits.
Just my 2c.

| I'd agree. He controlled things from behind the ruck and led the line in defense. Very professional display from him. He was my MOM too. Distribution was spot on and the break showed he's still got plenty to offer, but for mine his biggest input was how tight his defense was. I think i counted about 10 tackles he was involved in during his first 5 minutes on the field. I can see a lot going for playing DB 80 minutes.
