FWIW I wouldn’t rush into replacing Merrin, give Ward the captaincy and 13 spot Martin the first SR place and have Mellor, Donaldson, Sutcliffe, Walters and Smith fighting for the second SR place

Hope we have not signed Prior on top money.He is nothing special and not the tackle busting prop we need.

I agree it might be best to wait mid season than just making a signing for the sake of it.Who ever we sign needs to be top quality.

I'll admit I don't know that much about him as I don't follow the NRL very closely anymore but let's give him a chance before writing him off

As it stands, I would like two props and a winger and if possible to release Myler, however, I suspect Myler will stay and we shall only sign Prior.

If Merrin goes, I'd expect prior as well as a marquee replacement for Merrin. As already mentioned, Merrin does need replacing but we can't rush into it otherwise, we will end up with a poor alternative on silly money.

Just listened to the JD interview with Agar. Sounds like Merrin to St George is definitely on the cards, the clubs have held talks, but will only happen if we find an adequate replacement, we wont be leaving our selves short.

Getting quality backs is just as important as forwards. No good having lots of grunt if you have nobody to score the tries, and visa versa.

This is Leeds biggest problem, we lack quality and/or are light in numbers across the park.

Add to that we look to be losing our captain then we seem to have gone backwards from where we finished the season, despite the club's undoubted best efforts.

I hope sinny has a number of signings up his sleeve.

I was told that Leeming deal was done and Prior the talks were ongoing. These two signings assumed that Merrin was staying. Lets wait and see what is happening.

I completely agree. Let’s not forget Crosby and Ward will HOPEFULLY be like new signings. Faith needs to be put into Cameron Smith, I don’t think Sutcliffe is as bad as some on here think either. We look really light in the backs, and the way we treated Golding was a disgrace.......
