We're looking at Prior anyway regardless of Merrin so I'd fully expect 2 to come in if Merrin went. We definitely need cover in the outside backs too for me. I'd be disappointed if thats not being looked at.

As I understood it we were looking at prior regardless. For me Merrin should only be allowed to leave if we have a suitable replacement as we were looking at prior regardless I wouldn’t count prior as his replacement. He was treated fairly by the club given opportunity to search for a club and decided to stay. I would not be letting him go to at George now. He made a decision he should honour it.

As a point of principle I agree but in reality this is much more difficult.

Do we really want a marquee spot tied up in a player, our captain no less, that doesn't want to be here for reasonable family reasons.

I know we have given him a window to move and he didn't but that was because he couldnt get what he wanted, no it seems, he can.

Terrible timing, awful for Leeds but sometimes you just have to cut your losses.

Leeds basically have two choices, the can continue as they are with Mez here and available to play but with regular press distraction, or they can reach an agreement with him to leave and it all goes away but we lose probably our best forward.

He has to stay until we have another solution. Tough one for Kev.

And I think that would be fair on both club and player, as an aside I obviously don't know his and his partners personal situations and has someone who has suffered from homesickness I do actually have a lot of sympathy but long term thinking I would be having the child here so it can get dual citizenship!

If he wants to go, allow him to leave with best wishes. But get it done NOW. Still time to get a replacement. Think we need someone with some real speed in the backs. A Scott Donald type would be fine!

For me we’re pretty well covered in the pack, assuming Prior a done deal. Think we should give Cameron Smith the LF role at beginning of season and full backing. Time he kicked on...

If that doesn't work we have only 3 backrowers of quality and one of those probably wont play a full season then Suttcliffe and Donaldson as cover who are average at best.If we want to be pushing for a the play offs we need forwards of quality more than outside backs.
