These constant rumours around Merrin are getting ridiculous now. Its almost like people are willing him to leave. Unless people have hard facts rather than “someone told me” then why post it, or is it someone just trying to look like they are in the know.

I’d be very disappointed if it’s true but I was resigned to losing him in this off season tbf.

Poor form if it’s got into pre season and he’s going. I could understand his reasons during the off season, but once you’re committed in a sport like ours, you’re in.

That said, I still wouldn’t be massively surprised to see Sam Burgess in a Leeds shirt at some point next season. I can’t believe he will be able to just walk away...

Agreed until something is known and official it’s just rumour and here say...perhaps he is just moving house

I would have had no issue if he’d stayed in Oz in the off season, coming back and saying you’re committed then going back is a bit different IMO having said that I’ll wait until it’s announced to judge

Not at all, I sincerely hope he’s not going anywhere. Like I say, a mate bought his sofa, and said he was going back to Oz on Wednesday. Maybe he’s got his wires crossed, and it’s just for Xmas, but I wouldn’t have thought so with pre season training already started. I’m not claiming to know anything.

Hopefully that’s all it is. Strange saying that about going home though, that’s my only worry.

We need to get used to Merrin rumours though as at some point in the next 12 months he will most likely be gone. Hope it isn't just yet though.

The Burgess rumours, now they do make me laugh! Even the guys doc has said his shoulder is badly knackered up. Even if he wants to play it sounds like a terrible idea and not one any top club should be investing in. I really hope for his own long-term health this is just pub chatter after too many chasers.

Not sure how to feel. Really happy with Leeming but dont really want to lose Trout. Trout was very poor on his loan spell at Dewsbury so im going to cling to that.
