I think the RFL saw this as one and only opportunity to create a SL farnchise in Wales - it was a gamble - sadly it doesn't seem to have paid off - would not be suprised to see the winner of NL grand final being offered the opportunity of a SL franchise.

Sometimes teams who go out to score a lot against a team on the back foot can struggle. Celtic will be talking about defending well all week and Leeds may try too hard and drop a lot of ball.
I can't see any point in resting anyone, one exception may be Peacock, especially if Kirke or Bailey are ready for a game. We do need the points though. There's no guarantee Stains will win this weekend, if they don't and we run up a big number then that takes a lot of the pressure off the Stains game. We might just be able to go out and play some rugby against them - which we really haven't done this year.

Maybe it took the immigration service longer to work out why anyone would want to work in Wales.

I have recollections of seeing that employers get fined specified amounts per employee used.That in itself when added to presumed legal fees could stuff CC good and proper for some reason £50K per person comes to mind..

i think you are getting immigration and refugee mixed up. immigrants must appeal from their country of origin/birth whereas refugees typically believe that they cant return to their country of origin/birth for fear of persecution, and so any appeal is heard before they are removd from the country

Agree 100%. We all saw this coming though (the general mess, not the visa scandal), no matter how much we wanted it to work. Our other outpost at Quins is in a state too, only attracting tiny crowds.

Much that we hate to admit it, RL is doomed to be successful only along the M62 corridor. We should concerntrate on looking after our own. No wonder Widnes fans are pig-sick.

On topic though, it's dissapointing and I'd imagine gutting for the players who thought they were allowed to be here. Good job licences are 3 years really isn't it. One year down nearly but they have 2 more to improve themselves IF they can survive financially that is. I wish them well as should everyone else for the sake of RL binding as a community rather than casting the Welsh asside.
