You said average, not out of place. Which of course also answers Printers little rant also.

Again, where's the irony? Golding looks out of place, Keinhorst doesn't

In what way did Golding look out of place?

Didn't see the match so can't comment on Golding's performance vs Stains, but as a Wigan fan I have seen him play against our academy and he looked a good prospect. Also looked good against the Aussie schoolboys although with my Wigan bias would have picked our FB Gabe Fell instead. Full back is a difficult position for a young kid to play in as every error is emphasised, much like a goalkeeper in football. If you play a young kid at full back too early you can ruin their career, much as we did with Jack Murphy against you lot in the 2012 play-offs.

But according to Phil Clarke he was outstanding against Bradford in a previous match and fully justified his selection.I seemed to remember Leeds targeted Charnley more in that match to good effect. It was just unfortunate for the goons he came up with the play of the match right at the end.He did not deserve to be binned in the way they did though.Ash did ok in the saints match in only his 4th SL game.I can remember JJB and others having some early nightmare matches and they have turned out ok.

I thought we binned Murphy too early as well. Looks like our obsession with playing halves at FB will also end up in us binning Tierney and Fell also as Tomkins will be FB next year with Hampshire his deputy. Ridiculous really as Hampshire is an out and out stand-off and we should dump Matty Smith and have Williams and Hampshire for our half back pairing for the next 10 years. Hampshire and Williams play really well together, almost like Gregory and Edwards, and were the England half back pair in their age group with Tierney FB.

Again, you said average is mediocre and not acceptable. Maybe you didn't mean what you put, but you were the one that put it.

Golding was okay, clearly raw with plenty to learn and a long way to go to get to the very top. On the evidence of the Saints game once he got to the pace of the game he didn't look massively out of place. One for the future

Watching on t.v with the advantage of replays a H/T & F/T summary and absolutely 100% sober Golding had a decent game.
First of most of his positioning was spot on against a very impressive kicking game from seasoned HB's and in the face of an excellent kick chase he returned those kicks as best he could saving drop outs twice with no back up whatsoever.
He also it's worth noting made 2 clear try saving tackles and caught every Bomb sent his way.
Was he Zak Hardaker? Absolutely not but then you don't have to be Wayne Bennet to see that A.They are very different styles of player and B.He's 19 years old playing his 3rd Snr game this year.
That loss came off the back of senior pro's (understandably) not quite at it and even then a bit more composure and ST's were there for the taking.
Senior pro's have off days and many have had much worse than Ashton had on friday night before and during being established 1st teamers.
The OP needs to lay of the booze , jamaican roll ups ,watch the game properly on t.v & learn WTF he's actually watching.

Feckwits of the highest order!

As has already been suggested, sod off and watch another team. Actually, when I think about it, the Etihad or Old Trafford is the place for you. You can share your lack of knowledge and surplus of bile with 45-70,000 other s every other week.

In case you're wondering, I left out Elland Road because, (disappointed as I am to say it) in my experience a good proportion of the Leeds crowd don't even qualify as s.

Golding was not the reason why we lost on Friday.
Saints could not afford to lose, we could.

He's young and inexperienced, no he is not as good as Hardaker or does he play like him but what was Hardaker doing at his age?

I agree

He is a young lad who finished high school in July!

He also had a serious back injury following the Wire game.

He has bulked up considerably and seems to have picked up some additional spped

For a youngster he did well and if the forwards did a better job of keeping the ball then we may have seen more attacking options from him

Is he a full back? Not if Hardaker stays that's for sure but remember our half backs are getting a tad old and he may well be one to fill that particular role.

However, I do think reserve tam rugby would develop the likes of Golding quicker than the current system
