Any country that hosts creatures that can kill you should be avoided.
Any country that hosts creatures that can kill you that aren't at the very least, much bigger than you, should be struck off the United Nations register until they've killed all the little buggahs.
Australia is a disgrace in that respect.

| Thank goodness for ceiling fans, much cheaper than aircon & very effective in enabling a good night's sleep.

Which end is which?
It does look a bit mean, but it's not likely to get you unless you provoke it, problem is not many people know what provokes them....

Wasps and bees can both kill people. So can adders. We have those.
Horses kill plenty of people, we have them too. So we should be avoided at least, if not struck off.
Don't get me started on the flu virus, loads smaller than a person, can still kill them though. True story.

| Anyway, back on topic. You know how yesterday afternoon I said we might have rain later over here. We did, torrential, 1 months worth, from what I heard in a couple of hours. There's been severe flooding, the roof on a ward in one of Dublin's main hospital collapsed and the A&E was flooded.
At least it's cooler now.

I once died from dysentery, that was small, it could fit through the eye of a needle.

Ugly beasties, but most of what you'll turn up on google is urban legend. They're not all that dangerous to people, nor do they eat camels, run at 30mph or grow to the size of a frisbee. I'd still sooner not have one of the little b*ggers in my house though!
An interesting fact is that they're not actually spiders.
