strange game. totally dominated for 60 minutes but the sending off, justified imo, changed the game. hung in really well though. only poor ones for me were ayling, yet again, and dan james. no real shock with them two

A decent point all things considered and another clean sheet. Rodon very unlucky to get two yellows, referee was a joke. We should have been 2 up at least first half though and nearly got punished for it.

I’m still not convinced about Piroe playing at 10… another team snuffed him out there too easily. He needs to be our main goal threat. Rutter did ok but he’s frustrating to watch at times, needs a few chances

Both full backs were the weak links in attack and defence. If Byram is fit, he has to play, he's levels above Shackleton and Ayling.
Dan James shouldn't start, especially on the right wing in this system.

the first yellow, unless you played or reffed at a really good level you won't get.
bielsa in the murderball games told his players to practice what he called good fouls. to stop breaks and dangerous situations. had the hull player got free it was 3 on 2. rodon made sure he fouled him.

Yes I agree. thought Shack was poor especially going forwards. Ayling as usual very erratic. Thought it was Grays worst game of the season too, but he’s still learning he’s bound to have the odd off game. Also agree about James. Hoping Gnonto recovers quick.

I’ve watched Rodons second yellow again a few times and he was unlucky imo. Summerville looked dangerous but he holds onto the ball too long

Did you see Rutters chance ? one on one with the keeper... first half. nearly fell over when he struck the ball... keeper decent save but it should have been a goal. if that was Piroe one on one he was in the back of the net.. trouble is he was busy playing further back as a 10...

Farke says Piroe likes to come from deep but I `m not sure it means playing as a 10.
Not that I know more than Farke btw.
Rutter cannot lead the line as he does not posses the skills to do that imo.
Piroe needs to lead the line with Rutter playing the 10 if he has to play him.
We should have signed a 10 that`s for sure along with a LB.
James might be ok to come on a as sub with 15/20 to go and Ayling once Spence is fit is a squad player.

I'd say the jury is out at the moment on it... for me we've signed the best striker in the championship, he's prem quality and we're playing him at 10.. it has worked in a couple of games and not worked in a couple so it's definitely jury out time...

Rutter has done pretty well and i love his attitude, but he has missed a few sitters which if you'd put Piroe in those areas he would have taken them 99% of the time. Piroe doesn't have the pace of Rutter which i get, but i think you have to have your best goal scorer up front surely.. i suspect though Farke thinks because we don't have an out and out 10, Piroe at 10 and Rutter at 9 are possibly the best options at the moment.. I think if we struggle to score Saturday he will need to change it. I think Summerville could be a good 10 if he just starts being a bit better when he releases the ball.

I met Rutter yesterday by the way, daughter got a photo with him. Lovely lad, very friendly. His car is unreal... Lambo Urus in matt purple..

Piroe's got 3 goals in 4 games, there will be games where he misses chances and doesnt score, just like they'll be games where Rutter scores. I'm not concerned.

It`s true what you guys are saying about Piroe/Rutter and one or the other will have off days and another time bang them in.
At the moment Rutter is very Bamford and not the type of forward I like to see, personal preference only.
One thing is we are heading in the right direction and if we can stay top 8 until January and buy the right player or 3 we should be making the playoffs at least.

Got tickets for tomorrow, looking forward to it, not been to a game for about 18 months.
