| Quote 22-10="22-10"Couple of hundred quid? How you getting there Golden Chariot?
Our games have both been close this season and last season, why would this be any different?
So the main reason you're not attending is the prospect of losing? What an absolute joke!
Are these not the games you start the season hoping to play in?
'"
What do you care? Is it not his business what he chooses to spend his money on?
Is £200 that unrealistic an expenditure to get a family to Wembley and back, by the time you've included travel and tickets? Cost me £70 for one person excluding food and drinks last year and I only had to get there from Leamington Spa. There are those who have to pay for more people than themselves to go to matches you know.
I start every season hoping to play in the cup final at Wembley. Sadly, in 21 years I've only ever managed to be there as a spectator.

| I'm disgusted with Rhinos fans who are not going to the game to be honest, its embarrassing for a club like Leeds to be struggling to sell out there allocation. I've never been to a final where the Leeds fans have been out numbered but think thats going to change this year, but don't people realise it's better for the team if they get a massive support? I know it hasn't been a great season for the club but we are now in with a good shout of lifting the trophy which we haven't won for 12 years.
I've got a good feeling this year, it's going to be a backs to the wall performance and if we do manage to pull it off then it's shame on all the glory hunters for not turning up because they don't think we're in with a shout. The Rhinos website is resorting to trying to shame people into coming and its a sad state of affairs when you have to resort to that!

You've never been to a final where the Leeds fans were outnumbered? Gave 2005 a miss did you? Don't remember 2000 being much of a turn-out either actually.
If it's better for the team, maybe the club should pay people to go. Otherwise it's their money, their choice and trying to shame people into buying your product is pretty pathetic anyway.
I might still go, but if I eventually decide my money is better spent on my ongoing house decorations, or stuff for the imminent first El Diablo Junior then it will have nothing to do with whether I think we're going to win. I've seen us lose enough finals in my time to cope with that.
When I'm deciding whether to go, I will keep your shame and disgust in mind though. Honest.
If I don't go and we do pull it off I will pledge never to go to another CC final involving Leeds again, as it will prove beyond reasonable doubt that I'm cursed.

And you've obviously got a shortage of genuinely important things going on in your life. I used to think RL was the be all and end all and went to every game no matter what, for many, many years. There was nothing much going on that was more important back then.
I don't need excuses, I'll spend my time and money however I see fit. You do the same and keep your beak out of what other people do with theirs and we'll get along famously.
If the split of supporters in 2005 seemed even you'll have no worries, it'll probably seem even this year too.

If you mean you got on my nerves, correct. In your defence, you just happen to be the person I replied to having got bored of reading similar bilge from lots of people for the past x years.
It annoyed me plenty when I was one of those going to every game. I don't mind admitting that I find it even more annoying now.
However, I sincerely hope you enjoy your day at Wembley, having made your own choice to go, and if you're really lucky I might see you there. If I have any spare cash left when I've paid the builder and bought a pram and if the weather's fair.

Shouldn't you be bowing and scraping more?
I need to go and see your mum (or her colleagues) - apparently I can get free baby stuff from Boots. Blair's Britain! I'll probably end up going to Central 6 though. Nothing to do with your mum (who I'm sure is lovely), the Kenilworth branch just isn't open when I'm not at work.

| Well sorry for being a realist and not having my head in a fluffy cloud of fairytales and make-believe.
I will always attend the CC final regardless of which teams are in attendance but to honestly believe that Leeds have fighting chance is simply unrealistic.

| Leeds are in with a good chance of winning. Yes Wigan are favourites, and if play as they have done a couple of times this season, then they will. BUT, no one knows, Leeds might want it more on the day, and we could all be in for a big surprise.

| This is Wembley, on Cup Final day, and although Wigan are an excellent team generally, the "occasion" can get to even the best of players sometimes, and Leeds have plenty of experience of big occasion games, while Wigan's young squad has not much apart from a Grand Final in 2010. This is not the one sided walk in the park for Wigan that many folk are predicting, and Leeds's players desire to exorcise a few ghosts from Wembley 2010 means that they are going to be well up for the fight this time.

Just like in 2010 they wanted to exercise ghosts from 2005....when they wanted exercise ghosts from 2003............when they wanted to exercise ghosts from 2000.
The point being, we have a crap recent record in cc finals. Added to that, we're playing wigan who are historically a bogey side for us on these occasions.

| True enough, our recent record in Cup finals is truly rubbish, but that has to end sometime, and I just have a gut feeling that this year, of all years, in the season when Brian Mac has taken so much stick from us lot on this forum at times, that a cup win awaits!
Call it fate!

Of course they have a fighting chance FFS.
Wigan are obviously favourites given the form they are in, but if they are that superior to us how come they've not beaten us out of sight in the two meetings so far this season?

| For those of you old enough to remember , this season is very similar to the 1976-77 season. Then we had a coach , Syd Hynes , who was not doing very well in the league and the critics were on his back. Only a continued run in the Challenge Cup appeared to save his job. A view shared with critics this season surrounding Brian McDermott. The season ended with a glorious , against the odds , victory against a heavily favoured Widnes team. The devastating events at Salford a few weeks earlier , where our scrum-half , Chris Sanderson , was fatally injured an a tackle in the game galvanised our team to win the cup. While we're not mourning the untimely death of one of our own this time , we are a team galvanised by the mood of the so called fans and experts who are , again , writing us off.
Keep the faith and support our team at Wembley to a glorious victory.
See you at The Torch before the game and after for the post match celebrations
