| Could well be. Not just Newman but I've wondered before whether players try too hard to replicate feats of strength they manage routinely in the gym whilst in games and when their limbs aren't properly aligned.

| Apparently Smith and Thompson are OK and could well return next week. Fingers crossed for some good news for Harry too.

| Quote: Sir Gregory ParsloeP "I think he needs to look at balancing his emotions more and not treating every play as though it’s the last throw of the dice of a grand final and he has to win it on his own.
When Gannon scored his first after great play from Harry he was reacting like we had won a cup final. We had gone slightly further ahead in a league game.
I love the passion but I think he would be better tempering it for mine.'"
Totally agree with that. He's on the wrong side of boiling over in his every involvement at the moment. He has great raw talent but his ambition is writing cheques his body can't cash.

Not sure technique has much to do with it. Hamstrings are nightmares ( got two dodgy ones). They never heal properly and lots of scar Tissue. I’ve had to limit cricket and football , but golf and snooker ok.
I’d hate to think what playing RL would be like with an injury like that…..poor lad…..

Not to target you specifically, but people complaining about him celebrating a try, trying too hard every time he carries the ball, etc is embarrasing
I can only imagine how much they hated watching how aggressive Senior was carrying the ball in the centres, how argumentative McGuire was for more than a decade, etc
theres's a reason Newman is already one of the best centres in the league, and its his drive and competitivenes

Fair enough, I don’t mind him celebrating a try. I just think the emotional extremes are too big to help him in top flight sport. I know he’s massively competitive and always has been. I don’t know him as well as Seth but saw him a fair bit from 15 onwards.
Just be grateful you don’t have to live with me. My moaning about Harry is pretty mild according to the wife.

| Tom Trbojevic looked to be having systematic problems with his hamstrings. They got an expert in to teach him to run slightly differently (and apparently he does more full sprints in training under the new regime) and touch wood it seems to be working, so there might be more that can be done than we might think.

| Be interesting to see if Kallum Watkins cops a ban for that late hit.

Think you meant Smith who has had stitches put in and not Gannon.
It`s likely Thompson will be too sore to play next week by the sounds of it.

Interesting and let’s hope so.. something not quite right with Harry, very rare to see so many hamstring injuries in a relatively short space of time
