I do think we'll have to be on the front foot in terms of retaining Oledski. Regardless of what some think of him on this site he will not be short of suitors. Not a bit of retention we can afford to let drift.

I think if BA stays/or we get another good coach and keep strengthening the pack it will be easier to retain people and if we start getting in top 4/ finals it will get slightly cheaper

Yep agree. If we look like a club that's challenging again and we have a top coach, retaining players we want to retain becomes easier like it did in the past.

Yes that has to be the model we follow.
Good players want to learn from good coaches and continue to develop.
Lachie Miller said recently that Arthur scares him to death but he offers good advice.
One thing he told him was to get a 7/10 every week as opposed to an 8/10 one week and a 2/10 the other.
I think Arthur will bring consistency, ownership and hard work in a no nonsense way.
That I think will attract players to the club and like what`s been said getting into the top 4 and challenging for trophies will attract good players both young and experienced.
