Because the thread is about him as head coach, not a part of the coaching team.
If he wasn't in charge, then he can stay as long as he likes for me. But head coach is not a role for him, as far as I am concerned. |

Agreed but what isn't conjecture is that the CEO assembled the 2013 squad under the same cap as existed in 2010.
The 2010 squad included Webb, Donald, Senior, Buderus, Diskin, Lauitiiti, Eastwood and still had room left to add Lee Smith when he returned from Union. These have all since moved away from Leeds' wage bill.
Anyone who thinks replacing that little lot with Hardaker, Moore, Moon, Achurch, Vickery and improved deals to some of our own junior production line without also saving a substantial amount on the wage bill need to explain where all the money went. |

According to the predictions of Mystic Jeff we probably won't need a South Stand (or maybe just a very small one - about the size of a couple of bus shelters) when all the part time glory hunters bugger off now we're not Champions anymore. |

Why not, a good young coach who has served his apprenticeship already as an assistant here. Got his first head coaching gig at a small club with finance issues and poor players and started at the bottom. Now give him an opportunity at a well run club with decent players and see what he can do.
Similar career path to Brian McDermott.
