| Quote: Rogues Gallery "It goes back to the game at the JJB June in 2004 when a Leeds player re-arranged Farrells nose.
Farrell came back on heavily bandaged, and who should greet him with a high tackle straight onto his nose but Diskin.
Farrell was already held in the tackle by the way when the Diskin cheap shot came in.
I hope it jogs your memory.'"

It really wasn't

| Farrell should thank Diskin for that, it was that, that won him Man of Steel.

It definately was not. Andy Hay was long gone by 2004!

He was right though about Diskin.
IIRC, the original Farrell broken nose happened accidentally in an attempted tackle on Kevin Sinfield.
The worst tackle of the match though belonged to a Martin Aspinwall challenge on Danny McGuire who looked all over a scorer. That one went on report unlike the Diskin challenge.

3076_1671446335.jpg SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS
For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3076.jpg |

I don't remember specific tackles from the 1970's, I didn't think I'd ever meet anyone quite that geeky, frankly, my brain needs to be reserved for more important things, like food, beer and suchlike.
However I do remember that in the 1970's we weren't quite so precious about our RL players, nor did we faint at the sight of blood on the pitch.
Its one of the things that I miss about RL.

I would have bet my house that it was Andy Hay, but as Tad said, he was at Widnes by then, he left Leeds in 2002 !
Just shows how your memory plays tricks.

| Quote: vernon "Sorry to rain on your parade, but it was Andy Hay that re-arranged Faz's busted nose that day.'" Hay left Leeds at the end of 02, and it was Diskin. Top game of RL that one, we lost narrowly IIRC. We then went back later in the season and drew.
