| I saw that as a gushing attempt to try and entice Farrell to play RL in the next year or so

| It's easy to look the most skillful player when you only have to make 3 tackles a game and never get tackles. I think he's have been good at league but it's a totally different sport

| He might have been a very good RL player, but that ship has long sailed. If he came to RL at some stage now it would be a PR stunt.

He’s the Harlequin 10 and is trying to pin down the England fly-half role. He is very skilful and off the cuff, hence why he has his detractors in kick and clap.
He is very good ball in hand and a bit of a throwback, but I’m not sure he is the best defender in union so would be even worse defensively in league.

Still, never heard of him and doubt many people coming from a union background nowadays would have the skill set to play League at SL or NRL level unless they are young enough to still be taught the core skills.

Prop?
He`s only 82kgs and don`t think he`s ever played prop in his life.
Played for the British Lions and a decent half back for England.
Not a bad shout as a RL player.
However he probably earns 5 times more in RU.

| He'd definitely be good enough but SL could not afford him.

| Wonder whether the IMG factor is already lifting standards. Significant ground upgrade proposed by Hull KR, Cas academy upgraded to elite, first paid women players. Just coincidence?

All on the back of the biggest world Cup ever. Mostly the effect that has had on awareness would be my bet. KR is only a proposal, no money put up for it yet. Despite what many on here think, the sport has been attempting to drive itself forwards before IMG. Maybe not too successfully but trying
