Welsby's was a reckless shoulder to the head with force that bust his nose. If the MRP are consistent then it is a banker ban.
Newman confirmed ruled out next week and the GF. He has undergone surgery on his hamstring.

Tend to agree. I'm a big fan of Knowles, but that was really dangerous play - far more so than Bateman's red last night - and it should be punished. As for the rest don't really see any bans, but then again some ridiculous stuff has been handed out this season. |

That’s terrible news for Newman, and extremely concerning for his long term future in the game.

I don’t think Welsby should be banned either but weve (and other teams) had players banned for less this year |

Must have been made worse in the persuit of getting fit having been in the squad and talking about the world Cup last week to then needing an op. |

That clearly shows it isn't a shoulder to the head,arms are wrapped around the player,chest to chest contact

Head contact seems to come from his head jolting forwards from the force of the tackle, secondary contact but either way on this year's rulings thats welsbys job to ensure that doesn't happen. That said he won't get a ban as its GF week.
