Good post. It's going to be a tough game this but I have faith in our young players - we might not have enough quality to beat Saints but we can certainly make it awkward for them and give them a game.

What we can't afford to do it gift them field position, and we are going to have to find a way to make some progress against their D. I don't think Holroyd is fully fit and without Tet and Mik... this is where the distribution from DH becomes important because I'm not sure I'd be wanting to go down their middle all game. Once we've moved them around a bit Dwyer is not the player the opposition want to see come on.

Saints are missing a few too - both first choice halves Lomax/Fages, Bentley, Paasi and LMS.

Saints have 10 of their 1-13 squad available, Leeds have 5. They’ll have too much unfortunately, especially in the forwards, though glad to see agars opted for Holroyd over Thompson for the opening exchanges. Hope to see Leeds reduce some of the early self inflicted pressure they’ve been putting on themselves, and produce the tempo that pushed Saints in the cup.

It’s a great benchmark for our young players. I expect Saints to roll us but I’m sure we’ll show some spirit and have a go at them. Looking forward to it.

More unforced errors and poor decisions namely dwyer and here we are again with another poor start, unfortunately we're not playing Hull this week.

Sam Walters doing himself no favours tonight, been absolutely appalling so far.

They’ll get 40 by half time Saints. Can’t go there with a side as crap as ours and expect a contest. Obviously it’ll be Dwyer’s fault.....

Sam Walters, Cameron Smith, Tom Briscoe really need to get their head into gear otherwise this is going to be 60+ tonight. An absolute mare.

Nobody expected us to win but those opening sets with the ball are where all this stems from and that's nothing to do with the players missing. We should be better than that, but we've started poorly for weeks as I keep saying.
