Thats the issue for me and many. First game we saw 2 almost identical cannonball tackles and one ended up in the bin one not even a penalty, refereeing inconsistencies or incompetence is a real problem, along with the spin of the wheel disciplinary panel.'"
The 2 cannonball tackles you mention was not similar at all. In fact Powells tackle wasnt a cannonball in my opinion. He was 3rd man in, came from the side and made first contact above the knee. It looked a perfectly good tackle to me. The 2nd one was very dangerous in my opinion, the Hull player came from directly behind, made contact around the back of the knee and with the 2 Hull players holding the ball carrier he was always going to end up in a bad and dangerous position. I wouldnt have been suprised to see a red for that one.
Why tho are you blaming the referee and the disciplinary panel and not Tetevano for that incident? If he doesnt make the challenge the ref has no decision to make? Its Tetevano's fault he got banned and nobody elses. He was stupid and made a poor challenge which cost his team.
It always makes me laugh at games when a player drops the ball and the referee gives a knock on and idiot fans moan at the ref for giving a decision. Why dont they blame the player for not catching the bloody thing in the 1st place?
