It was a rhetorical question because he definitely was head coach at Canberra.

| Wane would be a massive backwards step - at a time when we can't afford to go any further back!
He's a dinosaur and doesn't fit with Leeds at all.
Hated the way Wigan played under him - dull and so annoying the way they deliberately slowed the more attractive teams down.
I hope Agar stays on next year.

Of course, if we are looking for a serial winner with superleague experience there is one available candidate who's resume towers over the rest. Who could it be? For the record I'd stick with Agar and go for a young and hungry Aussie when the time is right.'"
Bri Mac?

Why not?
We could do a hell of a lot worse. Still stand by what I said at the time (very poor decision sacking him).
The wise men on here would lynch you fur advocating Bri Mac....

| I'm from York and just watching York v Wigan.
James Ford is destined for a big club.
He has York playing really good stuff and really up for it, despite limited resources.
Could do a lot worse than him at Leeds.

No thanks. I'd happily have Brian Mac back though. Think he'd tell Hetherington to stick the contract somewhere rather unflattering though, after how he was treated....

I like interesting people I guess. I also like people who have real scars, and proven they can cope with adversity.....think some of you lot live in cloud cuckoo land with some of the coaches you mention, who may have promise but are nowhere near ready for a job of this magnitude.....

Each to their own.
Guess I just prefer to look forwards rather than backwards.

What are you on about? Wane is about to lead England into the world Cup. Brian Mac could well be the next England coach....!

Mate, if your benchmark is the England job, you are watching the wrong sport.
This isn't football.
The England RL job is a part time, retirement dead rubber.
The game needs young forward thinking coaches that will build clubs.
Not has beens looking for their final pay check.
