| Some utter whinging nonsense spouted from Catalans in their statement.
Why should Leeds take a big financial hit or further congest their own fixture list when the game can still be played? There is also no mention from Catalans as to what contribution Catalans would make towards Leeds costs for a rescheduled game that would never make a profit.
Catalans say they had a similar issue with Wakefield, they didn’t. That game couldn’t go ahead. This one can.
Then they threw their toys out of the pram and didn’t let anyone in. They could have let the 1,000 permissible in.

| Reasons why it couldn’t be swapped round:
- Leeds Rhinos v Catalan Dragons is a double header with Toulouse v London.
- That game has to be played at a neutral venue due to it being moved from Blackpool Bash to be part of the magifique weekend in Toulouse.
- tickets and hospitality will have already been sold on the basis of this being a double header.
- Leeds would have a five day turnaround with playing Toronto and Catalans back to back away. Player welfare.
- cost to get hospitality and ticket sales up at headingley within a couple of days is a struggle.

| The game v Catalans away this weekend is surely that clubs requirement to full fill the fixture is it not?
The fact that the French government have now intervened by restricting the crowd on the day to only 1000 fans,An offer of Which Guash subsequently turned down,So why should the Rhinos bend over backwards to accommodate the Dragons at such short notice by reversing the fixture?
Before I am accused of having only my own clubs best interests at heart I will add that my party of 6 will now be stuck in Lloret de mar from Thursday until Monday without a game to watch
If the game was reversed this weekend then as we all are season ticket holders we would also miss a game that we have also paid for whilst being in the destination of the pre planned away game
So Guash can go and do one from all of us
For any Rhinos fans that wish this game to go ahead at Headingley rather than in Perpignan and also at such short notice,Would you please inform me as to how much this decision regarding the fixture being cancelled has inconvenienced you or does it simply mean that you don't have to go to the Bingo with your other half if its played at Headingley?

The RFL, Leeds and probably Toulouse and London who’s have paid Leeds for the game to be there. Considering it’s an agreement for us to play in Toulouse.

| The ruling that crowds of more than 1,000 aren't allowed doesn't mean the local authorities will sanction regardless crowds of less than 1,000. In this instance they have been told to play with no crowd.

| Maybe the Folau signing has burnt some bridges and the clubs are less willing to help Catalans out. They were all vocal at the time about how it was done by the club so there may be little sympathy here. Wonder what Israel puts Coronavirus down to

I think the loss of a TV deal upset the clubs more which then made the Folau deal more of an issue for the clubs.

| Having been in similar discussions and negotiations, candidly the problem is with the French Government not with Leeds. Rightly so they have put their case forward, however it is Leeds who have to have the final decision. In discussions with the French no satisfaction could be agreed with them, therefore the game has to go ahead. Any Super league team should do the same. In a game with not much money, the threat of ground closure, the cancellation of fixtures, the short term is looking bleak.
Leeds needs the income to pay off their debt to the bank for the new stands, simply changing fixtures around does not bode well with the corporate sponsors and the corporate entertainment, the corporate sponsors want Friday evening games, this is when their clients attend games, already this year we have a number of games on Thursday and Sundays, changing more fixtures does not help the situation, even more so what about the players health, surely we need to look after the players welfare. I have no sympathy with the French

| I am confused here, and it seems some other posters are. Were Catalans suggesting we switch our home game to this weekend? Or were they suggesting we switch the next away game to be played at Headingley but as of this weekend?
We play them twice away, although one in Tolouse I know. If they were expecting us to play them twice away still and at short notice pull our home game forward to this weekend, then they are bang out of order and no wonder no further discussions. If they were suggesting us now getting two home games but putting one of them on at short notice, then you can have a bit of sympathy with them.

| Sadly I think this is the tip of the iceberg. I can see there being a big problem with crowds for weeks or months ahead. You wait til the virus really kicks off in the UK.
