Us bottom four and sign L.Briscoe Crosby Lolohea Donaldson and now Albert. To compliment the two marquees. You shop in the championship you end there. We are one nasty injury to Konrad away from there.'"
Then we also re-sign JJB & Ablett, who by all accounts was going to Oz until Sinny arrived !!!

| Mr Ablett had a plumbers job lined up in OZ and had agreed to play second grade RL, so Sinfield gave him a two year contract to stay with the Rhinos. He hasn't played yet.
At the last home game of the under 19's played at Stanningley, GH, KS and DF was sat in a room with closed doors. I assume it was to discuss the performance of the team. No idea what was said etc. Its OK saying Furner Out, and last night I wanted him to go, but if anyone is to go it has to the person who has recruited these players. If Furner has had no say in recruitment then why should he go, has Furner had the final say or not on recruitment. What has been Sinfields role in all this, was it his idea to give Ablett a two year contract and JJB a one year contract. If both would have been fit from the start of the season the outcome may have been different, or not. Everyone has their own opinions on players, but when you look at the overall majority of comments on here people want answers on some of the signings that have been made. If you have the spine of the team all top quality you get away with signing a few Championship players, but if the spine of the team is no better than Championship players, you also recruit Championship players you will end up in the championship. This is where we are heading if we don't take some action. We all cried out for Mullaly, Ormanroyd and Walters to leave, they all left, we hoped for a quality player, using their salaries to sign a quality player, how come we ended up with an ex Widnes player, ridiculous, who made this decision and why, where did Widnes end up. This is why some answers are needed, Kevin Sinfield needs to stand up and be counted and explain some of the signings.

| I'd certainly agree that JJB and Ablett shouldn't be in the squad. I wouldn't have given Cuthbertson 2 years either. Some of the contracts for young players are bonkers as well - Lilley signs for years then punted, Golding 4 years, Briscoe Jr for 3 years without getting a look-in. Lolohea and Peteru given long deals with no evidence of ability...
Rebuilding within the cap is hard enough without tying one hand behind your back with that sort of nonsense.

| This has been the worst recruitment pre season. Can you ever see the likes of St Helens or Warrington wanting to sign Luke Briscoe, Albert, Crosby or even Donaldson. And we sign a fullback back to play in the halves and is clearly struggling.
Watkins isn't half the player he was, maybe still recovering from injury, but he doesn't seem to a natural leader of the team.
I know plenty of this has been mentioned but it's obvious that JJB, Ablett, Cuthbertson who have been great for the club are never going to hit the previous form of previous seasons, too many injuries with them also.
Then we have players like Golding on decent contracts who never gets a game but will struggle to get a similar deal if he was to leave.
Sinfield has so much work to do to get things right.

| The thing is... whether you think for sure Furner is at fault or in 2 minds....the worrying about it is...how long can you give him? You fire now and you give the replacement plenty time to bring in some structures without immediate results but building...or leave it until late trusting Furner till possibly beyond the threshold?

| Sacking Furner would be counterproductive. Our squad is hopeless. Our recruitment over the past 5 years has been horrendous. Serious questions needs to be asked and whoever has been involved in the decision making needs to be accountable.
Whoever decided to sell Garbutt without having a nailed on replacement prop, when our front row was already appalling needs removing from his duties too

| Also should Mikolaj Oledzki be getting all this game time just yet early in to his career? Nathaniel Peteru has been very disappointing for me so far and what more can be said about Brett Ferres.
We still haven't got a recognised goal kicker, different players having been taking it in turns since 2016 and quite unsuccessfully. We have lost many games by the odd point over past few seasons because of this. Then Jack Walker is now taking the kick offs. Three times out on the full last night.

| Are people really calling for Wellington Albert to be released after 3 training sessions and half a game coming back after nearly 3 months out injured? He’s got size and an offload game, something Leeds are sadly lacking at the moment. At least give the bloke a chance to prove his worth.

| He has many positive attributes, defending (which is critical to Leeds survival hopes this season) isn’t one of them. That’s why he’s not in the NRL.

| Agree with Biff, we are 10 games in and have been on the slide for 3 years. I know we won in 2017 but other than Cas and Hull, everyone else was rubbish. since 2017 we have lost McGuire, Burrow, Moon, Hall and Delaney and Ablett, JJB & Cuthbo have gone a long way down the mountain.
We nearly went down last year,
Our spine is as a raw and uncoordinated as you can get, a kid at Fb blowing hot and cold , 1 new half who is unfit and has no confidence, Myler who has only been here just over a season and is playing with different key men every week and 2 hookers who are runners / off the cuff merchants.
The pack is the poorest in the league, probably bar London. This is a huge job and I suspect even bigger than Furner would have originally thought.
The defence should be better.
I don't know what is left on the cap but we should be looking at getting in another half to go with Myler as matter of urgency. Offer salford a decent wedge for Hastings, he is only on a 1 year deal. He never stops talking and telling people what to do and that is what our team of mainly cloth-heads need.

I was surprised he left to take that job , it seems to me like semi retirement or a sabbatical.

Sulking.
Now might be the time to make an approach. 2 ways of going, get to wane in as defensive coach or as first team Coach.
