Weve signed 3 lads from Saddleworth.

It's quite an open age group. Lock Lane are arguably the best side (they have reached the national cup final) but Skirlaugh, Emley Moor and Feb Lions aren't far behind.
My understanding is that 9 of the Lock Lane side have joined Castleford, the bulk of the Skirlaugh team have joined Hull KR, the top Fev Lions lads have gone to Leeds. There were some Emley Moor lads training with Cas but no idea who they ended up signing for.

Thanks for the info, do you know if we'v took any from Lock Lane? Theyv got a couple of forwards who look real talents. Id put Leeds Irish up there with the other teams mentioned but for me Lock Lane are the best team in the Yorkshire league by fair bit, beat Fev Lions 38- 0 recently.

Interesting we'v got 3 from Saddleworth, we dont go over the pennines all that frequently. Theyr top of there league winning 9 from 9 and narrowly lost at Lock Lane in the national cup. Rylands are the other outstanding team in Lancashire, theyr 7 from 7 in the league and play Lock Lane in the national cup final

I wouldn't put Leeds Irish at the same level to be honest. West Hull saw them off in the National Cup and they aren't at the same level as Lock Lane etc.

Nationally, Rylands are the standout team. They beat West Hull 38-0 at the weekend in the national cup semi final. Every player has been offered a scholarship with 12 signed at Saints. I'll be at the final supporting Lock Lane but I reckon they are a long shot. A couple of their big forwards could rattle them though.

Not sure which Saddleworth players have signed for Leeds but I would imagine Sinfields nepthew is one of them. Good player.

Leeds irish are the only team in yorkshire to give lock lane a decent game this season, came very close to beating them recently. For me Lock Lane are clear number 1 in the yorkshire league, with emely moor, leeds irish and fev lions all in the next brackett, capable of beating each other and usually very close games between the 3. None of them are at Lock Lanes level imo, if i had to pick one of the 3 from pure talent, id probably say fev lions are second best. Didnt know sinfields nephew played to that level, how good we talking and what position?

Sinfields nephew has signed for Wigan. Hes a solid good tackling 2nd rower much like his dad Ian.

Weve an absolute stand out signed believe me. Stand off goal kicker. He scored 3 tries and kicked 7 out of 7 at the weekend. Lad is pure class but only 14 and join will scholarship next yr.

U16s have just beaten Saints at Stanningley 32-16. Tacked tremendously in 1st half which helped get the win.

Have to praise St Helens number 12 Reece Summer he was magnificent for Sts.

Once Leeds got the ball and held it we looked a good team.
